|
|
Just in case you don't know how!!
& you want to upload a picture of your win. Its very easy & you can copy instantly.
Quick Tutorial
1) Look on your keyboard & find Print Screen (normally to the right above numbers) Hit That Key
2) Open Microsoft Paint (you all have it free with windows)
Click on your Start Menu - All Programs - Accessories - Paint
3) In paint click Edit - Paste........... he he
4) Now click File - & Save that to your desktop, or pictures, anywhere you want. Then simply upload it with your message when posting on the Alternate Poker Forum. There is a small 'add an image' link under the posting text area, write your post text, then click the link to upload your image.
PS
Clicking Print Screen is an instant snapshot of your desk top, saved to your PC memory, so you can paste it at your leisure after the tourney
PS
If you hold down the Alt key while hitting the Print Screen you will get an image of just the active window, excluding the rest of your desk top (so to get maybe just the poker table or results screen, this is what I do, its tidy)
TRY IT NOW

In More Depth
Here's How To Capture a Screen Shot of your Desktop or the Active Window in Windows.
1. Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard (or hold the Alt key down while pressing Print Screen to capture only the active window).
That's it, you now have your image in the memory
2. Now open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint.
3. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
4. If prompted to enlarge the image, choose Yes.
5. Optional: Use your image editor's crop tool to crop out unnecessary portions of the screen shot.
6. Go to the File Menu and choose Save As.
7. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image.
8. Type a file name for the image.
9. Select a file type (gif or jpeg).
10. Click the Save button.
11. You can then upload the image (use the 'Add image to post' link at the bottom of the text area) when posting your message. _________________ skcuSegreM

There are also other ways to do this you can download a free capture software and set it up so all you have to do is hit one key and it will automatically save it to a certain locations then all you have to do is host it and post it this is the way that i use
if you use the method that Brian posted above you will have to work around what you are doing to open the editing software and paset the picture then you would have to manually save it and then host it anyways i find the screen capture software faster and it dont have to be done right away just hit the button to capture and post it later _________________ Do you enjoy playing Golf now you can online just click here----> Shot-Online Golf |

Hi Revenge
Thanks for your input. Just one point to add.
There is no need to go looking for a site to host the image, as it can be done here when you are uploading. _________________ skcuSegreM |

I'm not sure everyone is getting this...It is really easy...no software required. Work with me here and try it, takes about 10 seconds
1) Look on your keyboard & find Print Screen (normally to the right above numbers) Hit That Key
2) Open Microsoft Paint (you all have it free with windows)
Click on your Start Menu - All Programs - Accessories - Paint
3) In paint click Edit - Paste........... he he

When I get back to poker after my month layoff I will show you all my results in this forum using screen shot capture _________________ skcuSegreM

dead right brian, this is definately the simplest way to create a screenshot. i used to do it this way before moving to imageshack.
i only mentioned imageshack because (when open) it saves directly to the .jpg format at the push of a button.
note : i am not an imageshack representative ! |

This doesn't work for me It still has the background ....... no biggie I will just stick with the simple method ..... all sites cover my whole screen anyway so I do not see it as a problem TTTY Brain ...... I love days when I actually learn something lol _________________ One Deal At A Time!
