Poker Accounts - A Word Of Warning
In the last couple of weeks I`ve edited a couple of forum members posts because they included details such as account numbers or usernames in them.
You should NEVER post those kinds of details here or anywhere else. That`s 50% of the information somone needs to get into your account.
At APF we only ever ask for your table name. Please don`t give out any other details. _________________

Quite right DM, you should always be careful with any official information, especially on any open forum space.
I'm going to sticky this in the News Area as it is important and worth remembering ! _________________

Wait a minute though... on most poker rooms, your login/username IS your nickname at the tables.
Most forums that run tournaments want you to post your nickname... which is the same as your login. I never thought about that danger, but yeah, they're 50% there. Also I thought it would be good to have 2 passwords: one for forums, and one for poker rooms.. . that way if someone ran a rogue forum they couldn't get into your account.
Then again, if they got in, I guess they could try to move your money to another player by playing on a heads up table. But some rooms like cake and FTP just allow you to transfer money without that hassle... |
