6 tourneys today and still at square one.Well I think I played poker all day, I'll sum up my run of poker sunday here. Started my day at a step 5 PCA poker stars table once again getting really close to step 6 and the rewards of that. I went out in 7th I was big stack and 8 players left. I held QK s and my oppnent held KA os I raise 3x preflop he calls board comes Q5K rainbow. I check, he bets 2.5k I raise allin he calls. turn was 9 and oh yeah the river was an A. Got rivered there. So I suck it up and move on to a FPP tourney for entry to sunday million on PStars, this was at the same time as Carbon poker buy-in league game, hence I was much more concentrated on the milllion satellite. Good show, I won entry to the million for 400FPP's no rebuys used.....yipeee. I was very comitted to making this tourney my claim to fame.....well, I made the money but not the kind of$$ I was looking for, The guy who took me out was another Canadian player who was going all in with junk and getting very lucky, so his stack was large and I was patienting for the opportunity to gouge him. He raised 3x and I call 1 spot befor button with QhQd. I shoulda reraised allin, all he had was T5c, anyway board comes 2c,5h,7c, great news I felt good with my ladies so I check to see his thoughts and he bets half my stack. Hunch tells me to see it but not reraise in case he's chasin clubs. So I call and the turn comes Qs....well i'm feeling like it's mine but I check to suck him in and he bets me allin...hmm I thought but his eratic play for the last thirty minutes told me to call. River comes 6c.....and my dreams of a quarter million $$ fade away like I was never there. So I tell myself I made the right move except for not going allin right off before the 1st street. Once again I take my free $250 dollars and enrolll into $150K gtd tourney wich I didnt realize it was $215 rebuy tourney. Anyway small field 246 players but those guys are rich they were rebuying at $200 like it was penny candies and I couldnt afford a single rebuy so I played really tight for the first hour. Turns out all my efforts of tightness stilll left me short stacked at 5K to their 8K+ at the beginning of the second hour but im still confident at this point. I got beat by my own wrong doing of trying to push my loose opponent out of a 5k pot while I was only looking for a turn or river flush from the flop, he already had the K pair with the board and I didn't find my flush therefor sianara to me again and $200 wasted trying to find cards that beat me earlier in the day...blah. So my last feat was a $60 SNG with 18 player I get down to 11th at average stack and I got out kicked by q9 to my q8 LOL cause the board came Q,A,A,2,4. Well thats my novel for today but an interesting series of chances to make big $$ with the outcome setting me right back where I started again. It's still early here in Canada but i'm gonna pack it in for the day because I wanna save the money in my account for perhaps a slightly better day (like tomorrow night) where the cards may fall slighly more in my favor. Sorry for the long ass winded story but that sums up my Sunday in snowy Alberta.
Thanks, if you happened to read this far LOL Good night

Jeez War and piece was shorter than that.
Tracey had a similar time (but at a cheaper price) yesterday.
She played a couple of $1.00 add on + Rebuy tourneys on Bugsy. we were amazed to see such loose play by those who were intent on playing rubbish and returning with more chips to play rubbish again.
I kept telling her to play her best game then when the idiots have thinned you can out-play them. Unfortunately by the time things had settled down those idiots had her out chipped by soooooooo much it was all-in or fold.
I think she'll be sticking to freeze outs.

Looks like there will be those types of players at all levels of play. It's unfortunate that there is still luck involved in poker otherwise there'd be millions of perfect players. LOL have a great day

good thing the coffee was fresh, i was reading & reading & reading, occasionally dropped off for a nap, then finally finished reading your novel...( LOL just kidding...)
sometimes you can play it right & get rivered, sometimes you could have played it better & get rivered...
that first hand, most would have checked hoping to trap, but even if you pushed off the flop, AK would probably have called...
The QQ hand, now that could have been played stronger, I would have re-raised minimum 3x what he bet pre-flop, or all in, & if he calls that with that hand, well, donk blunder strikes again...nothing else you could have done...simply calling bets @ that stage is asking for a bad beat...
the Q9 vs the Q8 hand, was that a battle of the blinds, cuz Q8 has no reason to ever be played, Q9 is no better, lots better hands to play with & win more cash @ that stage...
