League points system
Tie Breaker : Should 2 or more players end on the same points, the player with the most wins from the 4 games will be placed higher in the table, if still tied we will look at most 2nd places, then 3rd places, etc. Important Note This league is open to all Registered Members of the Alternate-Poker Forum. If you wish to take part in the Short Hand Mini-League and receive the passwords, you must post your Doyles Room Screen Name in this thread prior to 2 hours before any given game start ! If you come in after that time, we unfortunately cannot guarantee your particpation but please PM to muratore and we will see what we can do. You will only need to sign up once for any or all 4 games. The Alternate-Poker Short Hand Mini-League
I should note, in case it's not clear in the thread, that these games are always played with a maximum of 6 players at a given table (notice the 6 fingered hand award  ) edit : for some reason, this seems to have been set as 5 handed .....ah well !
..."that's not so different" i hear you say... Well actually you'll be surprised at the diffrence in the dynamic, as short handed events will tend to force more aggressive play with marginal hands due to the constant situation of fewer players and blinds moving around the table quicker. I hope, as it's a format (NL Holdem) we all know, that we get a decent turnout and as always, you have some good competition. |

We've tweaked the Tie Breaker system just a little for our mini-leagues, so please check the top thread for the info .....don't worry, it's nothing too radical. |
