Back To Back WinsSo I managed to take down the APF league game tonight which was very satisfying. As I`ve said in the results thread I had another game to go to on PDC that had already started. There had been an offer of entry into a $250 freeroll for any blogger who wrote a piece about the bad beat jackpot on Carbon/PDC and only about 13 people bothered to write anything. Of those 13 only 9 turned up tonight.
It`s not quite as juicy a win as it looks because when we got down to 3 we agreed that the winner would send 3rd place $50. The stacks were pretty close and it seemed a very fair deal and guranteed that everyone would walk away with something and we wouldn`t get drawn into a long nitty game.
In the end it was me against DADuhWEEwah a very good tourney player and after we`d battled back and forth for quite some time we agreed to chop the money evenly and pushed all-in the next hand. my 89 vs his KQs. He flopped a Q but I had the open ended straight draw and rivered a 10 to get it.
In the end I took $100 which I`m more than happy with. This tourney was one of the reasons I was so desperate to get back online for today and the reason I ended up getting a new PC. With winnings of just over $140 tonight I`m pretty happy I made the effort.

It wasn`t an instant thing. We`d played about 70 hands HU when we finally agreed to chop it. DAD had started with a 2-1 chip lead but I`d managed to get back to even. Neither of us could seem to break away after that. Blinds were geting very high and it just seemed sensible to agree to split it rather than effectively coinflip for $50. Very pleased to have been able to hold my own against DAD in that situation. He`s definitely one of the better tourney players on PDC and plays a lot more NLHE than I do these days.

Generally it hasn`t been that great tbh. Largely because I`ve always been great at making it deep and cashing but I`ve had a tendency to miss out on the final 3 places where the big money is.
Atm I`m playing/running very well at Stars in the "Other" games - 8-game, badugi, 2-7, HORSE and the 7 stud variations. My ROI is at 158% for those tournies but I`ve made 4 top 4 positions in my last 6 games so maintaining it won`t be easy.
