Bad beat but not at pokerLet me tell you a story
Weds p.m.
I get a call from my daughter
"Dad, tomorrow, will you call at the bank and draw some spends out for my hols i dont wanna do it myself in case i lose it or get robbed"
"Sorry sarah i start work early tomorrow i wont have time you'll have to ask Marc (her boyfriend) to go for you"
Thursday p.m. at work
missed call on my mobile from the wife
Which is unusual cos she never rings me at work
"Denis our Sarahs been robbed"
"WHAT"
After me and Marc (we work together) left for work and sarah got home (75 mins) their house was broken into and all the usual electrical gadgets young uns have these days have been taken (Sarah thinks she disturbed them when she put her key in front door)
Marc rushes home to Sarah who is in floods of tears they do all the neccessary things to make the forced window safe and decide to start packing ready for Saturdays early getaway to Spain
Friday a.m.
Sarah has a 4 hour shift to do at work so is up early getting ready
The news comes on and horror of horrors the company they have their flights with has gone bust
Now with their laptop going in the burglary they are in a right state
So Sarah rings her older sister (who is going with them) her husband has been working his last night shift and when he comes in they get on their laptop 3 hours later they get some flights with a budget airline,mentioning no names Stelios, but as we all know these companies like to take advantage of us mere mortals and they have to pay an extra £100 each to get to Spain
I hope they get to Spain without any further dramas
My only worry is that old saying
"Bad luck comes in threes"

well, UL as it was, it's only material things, she could have walked in on them & been hurt, or worse, things can be replaced, hope all will get better for everyone soon...

That really sucks..At least she scared them off and didn't surprise them..Be glad everyones ok

well they all got off safe and sound and are having a great time
The 3rd stroke of bad luck (if you wanna call it that) did hit when her sisters bags were overweight and they hit em for £98

yeah, i always have a problem when i fly too, damn left testicle puts me over the weight limit
