It will if you limp & catch trips
PoolDemon

nice win big guy...

now how did you find the level of play, not just against you, but how did you find the hands that got played, a lot less marginal hands calling because of the payout/buyin ?  it was after all a turbo tourny, so you would expect to see a few less than premium hands challenging the good ones, especially early on...

also, do they run that tourny daily, once a week ?

Well done Brian very good win.

I see you play alot of turbos. Do you like to play turbos better than the standard games? If so why? I never do good in turbos.

I was gonna make a smart comment, 'if Brian is buying, I'll drink several for you.'   However, as we are chucking some chips around I think I'd do better to ply him with beer.
Ramster

Nice win Brian

Here's some answers to a few of the direct questions

PStars run games like this all the time, this one is every day at the same time & I like to sometimes play it alongside the $20 twenty K.
Obviously the level of play is more aggressive so if you catch some good hands & they hold up then you have a great game, if not then its only $10. Yes more marginal hands have to be played in a turbo & chances have to be taken, but in comparison to say the OFC's the chances taken by most are more calculated...yeas you get the stupid re-raises allin but not as much as OFC & not multi way, its normally better poker but super aggressive.

Turbos can be good value if you are catching cards or if you are short on time.
My biggest win was at Ladbrokes for $22k, (although it should have been the final table of the PStars Sunday Million   )
My wife spent it on a new car

I wouldn't say I play lots of turbos, I play them if short on time or if I get knocked out early. After playing lots of these you gain experience, you cant play your long game, I play a lot of the 12$ 180 player turbos & make a lot of FT's in these, I bust out a lot also but as they go off about every 30 seconds that's OK, overall I make good money from them. You play the good hands & be patient, then open up getting more aggressive when down to the last twenty

No secret Adam, everyone that plays here knows how I play, that puts me at a big disadvantage in MLP games, whereas at PStars I can just disappear. I just keep plugging away, protecting & building a bankroll until I get late in some tourney or other & then try to make it pay.
Familiarity helps a lot, the more finals you make the less afraid you are, & in order to win you must not be afraid to get it wrong & bust out (one of my problems in MLP games lately) Look at Harrys MLP medals, hes won so many that when he gets to the last five on a final he has no fear of losing.
