Here's the bust hand. I was third in chips at the time so I definitely could have coasted to third if I wanted to. But you gotta play to win!
As far as the hand goes, the other guy in the hand has been the CL/most aggressive for awhile.
I took a very long time in this hand, and when I called I truly believe he was on a bluff. Oh well I'd rather go out on an incorrect read, than on a bad beat.

Hay nice one nate the final table on ps is a very hard table to reach..
I bet if u had been in that situation on MLP league game u would have pushed instead of just calling the pre flop raise.

well done nate! 1000$ is really nice!!
Hard to comment the last hand, but a reraise preflop (a big one) wouldnt have been bad. and push any flop if you had got a call..you dont expect those kind of hands to call you if you make a big reraise..but allways hard to know how to play....
CONGRATS!!!

great cash nate.
i'm also a bit surprised you flat called pre-flop in that situation but it's always easy to see these things in hindsight. seeing the flop with 2 nines was most likely always going to leave you a little in no-mans land and it certainly looks like you could have taken the pot down early with a big re-raise.
so easy to say when you're not in the situation and you must have played really well to get into the final table, so well done.

yes I definitely wished I could have reraised here preflop, knowing he had A2. But here was kind of my thought process, he is the chip leader and has been very aggressive. I resecently went on a not too bad run of cards and have shown quite a lot of aggression. (giving my reraise less value)
I didn't reraise because I cant RR AI here, and I thought he would 3bet very lightly. And I don't want to be put to a decision all in pre flop with 99.
So yes I did play this hand very weak in an attempt to keep the pot small. And I believe against a good player it would have been fairly small.
I'm not shocked that this guy bet huge with trips (because that was my read on him, aggro), but I think a more competent player would have recognized the possibility of a flush and tried to keep the pot small.
So my problem was giving the other player more credit than I should have. I thought if he had trips or a high pp he would be competent enough not to build a huge pot because of the flush draw. So that's why I made the call thinking he was bluffing.

yeah, as i said before, it's so easy to critize when you're not in the flow of things. under normal circumstances, i think i may well have moved all-in pre-flop and really put him to the test, but again, this is easy to say when i don't have my tournament life and a big payout on the line.

Twas Bitter Sweet for me last night
Playing a $3 rebuy on PStars & after battling a 3500 field for about eight hours the final table was assembled. I was chip leader with over 4 million in chips.
I think that is probably the most chips I have ever had in front of me.
Ten minutes later I moved allin with KK v the second in chips, he was sitting with AA.
All the chips went in & I was left short stacked & out the next hand. Instead of a shot at 5K I was left with a Bitter Sweet $400
Niti did mention that she read somewhere that sometimes you can fold the KK in this situation, for stack reasons. I guess she has a point, because if I did fold it I would have made at least top 3. Unfortunately folding KK preflop is not normally part of my game
I was so upset I didn't even screenshot it
Adding to this Bitter Sweet feeling was that during the 8 hours I won 2 SNG's & qualified for tomorrow night's Sunday Warm Up, that's a $215 buyin with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool

that kinda goes back to the thread on the 1st hand at the WSOP, would you fold AA in that situation, it was about 50-50 that would, for many valid reasons to fold...
I'm not sure who did what in your case, but if you pushed & he called, nothing could have been done, if you raised & he pushes, there are a few hands that can hurt you, from the obvious AA, to ace anything, if I was in the hand & made a raise, & was pushed all in, by a stack that could hurt me real bad if I don't win it, I think I would fold, as I would prefer @ that stage to play smaller pots & keep my chip lead. Some play hyper agressive with a lot of chips, but I look @ it this way, with that many chips, I can sit and wait for a hand that I'm the one pushing the action, it's not weak poker to play that way, as I always raise the pot with big hands, but at that stage if I didn't have AA, or AK suited, I would have dropped it...
I always look at the payouts, my position in the tourny, and who I'm up against, then my hand, then decide if I'm going to war with it or tossing it...it would be nice to know how that hand was played out, and it's still a great finish out of that many players & the RB format, congrats...
