Bounty TournamentsAnyone notice that the Merge network is now running a bounty tournament in the mornings? I love the concept of bounty tournies but something tells me that with it only being $1 buy-in and $1 bounty it will be an AIOF tournament.

I must admit I hadn't noticed that. 
I have played some bounty games in the past, and well... 
...you have to be in the right frame of mind for them. They can be fun and loose. 
I believe JR had played quite a few on the old Jungle/OKUSA.

I would say "wait a few days" til they got all sorted with this - they kinda messed up the 1st tournament today - no bounties were paid as it should have been .
I would normally say wait after a merge upgrade   - just play the games you usually play - til everything is running smooooooooth

played one today, after i had taken 2 out early it was all like a freeroll for me.. since i got my money back no matter what happened after that it was all bonus
i ended up 10th with about 130 starting and took out 4 more, so it was nice 
even tho my flopped 2 pair was no good to a turned gut shot, a draw he just couldnt let go of

Now Merge has set up bounty sngs. They have treated me very kindly. The few I have played have proven to be proven to be profitable if played tight aggressive. I was dealt AA first hand on the button and went all in because the pot had been raised 5x bb and 5 ppl stayed. Of course the table thought I was just being reckless and two called. Believe it or not, they held up. Then I did not play another hand for 15 hands or so, yet when I raised, ppl still thought I was bluffing. I had never given them reason to think this. I ended up placing 2nd in this game but I picked up 7 bounties so I was way ahead. Just need work on hu.

tried my first online one over on carbon, won it & took out 5 players too, so I guess I have to say, I LIKE IT...

hehehe, my own cheering section, i love it...
the best was the hand i took out 2 in 1 shot, only had 1010, i triple the BB, from UTG, next one that played every hand & was just under my count pushed, the button pushes also, so either I almost triple up or bust, so i call, 2nd from UTG had 7-5, the other had ace rag, 7-5-2 on flop, & i'm thinking FFS, then another 2, & a jack on the river, then 2nd UTG tells me that i'm one lucky...& i tell him thats what you deserve for playing a crap hand, the rest all laughed...

I like bounty tournaments. I am glad Merge net work and Absolute poker have added them. I think I will go play 1 right now.
