Cake network down ?Anyone else having problems getting onto the cake network
This is the 2nd night running i havent been able to log on

Looked like the ring games were working but none of the tourneys. I installed a cake update today, maybe that had something to do with it being down.

the news on startup says they hav problems w tourneys, so they cancelled them and sngs til they fix it

I just got in only showing 400 players

I was there last night playing a private game in Power when the network crash.
I read in other forum that MTTs and Sits going to be off, they start cash games today but they say still going to have some connecting problems.
Apparently the issue going to last 4 days.
The APF game in Power for tomorrow was in schedule this morning, but now is off and only appear private games for sunday.
So, i think that Power (APF) game for Saturday is not going to run.
Maybe Harry could know more about this?

Cake Poker Statement

Statement from Cake Poker
Over the last week, the Cake Network experienced a series of connectivity issues that has culminated in a prolonged interruption of services. We have now traced the problem to an external connectivity disruption directly impacting performance at Cake’s data center.
We apologize for the delay in responding to players about the disruption, but until now, we didn’t have sufficient information to make an announcement. The good news is that the problem has now been identified and we have a solution which will be released shortly. Doubly important is the fact that the solution being implemented will prevent this type of occurrence from ever happening again.
We ask for your continued patience, however, as it will take approximately four days for the issue to be completely fixed. In the meantime, we are stopping all tournament play until we can guarantee full connectivity.
We assure all Cake Network players that there are absolutely no security or account issues. No data was compromised in any way. It was simply a matter of disrupted network connectivity. This was an external issue that had nothing to do with the Cake software or game servers.
While Cash Games are back and running we ask for your patience as there will probably be connectivity issues over the next four days. Again, we apologize for this disruption.
We will publish another announcement when the issue is finally resolved and the tournaments are back online.
We sincerely thank all players for their patience in this matter and hope that you will continue to enjoy our games. We’ve worked hard to make a technically stable and high quality experience for our players on the Cake Network and are committed to making this right for all players going forward.

Update
It appears the problems that have occured throughout the Cake Network should mostly be sorted today (with the odd hic up). However, you guys are quite right that our game today is currently missing from the tournament lobby. First Private games they have on seem to be from tomorrow so i guess all the forums are in the same boat.
I will see if i can get hold of our rep or someone at support that can fix this and update you all later on how we are doing. I guess it will depend on how many problems they are still having at the moment.
If it gets late (say 4 hours before the game) and i can't get it sorted, we'll just reschedule that game for either tomorrow or the Sunday following. We'll send out an e-mail about this either way of course.
...i'm working on it (and this was supposed to be a day off   ) !

I read the same stuff and it seems that the game today is unlikely to happen. Thanks for keeping up with it Harry and letting us know which way it will go later today.

yeah, it's looks the most likely scenario and perhaps better to wait until they have the problems fully sorted.

it's important to note that this is not an issue with the Power Poker folks but a problem with the servers of the Cake Network and seems to be mostly due to outage problems from the server getting over used. so in the long run, a good problem from the Cake sites and players alike and no players money are at risk from security issues or any cancelled games.
i'll keep you posted, most likely i'll send an e-mail out 4 hours before the game with a decision.

News only say the same.
Attention: Tournaments currently unavailable
As you may be aware, we've experienced some connection issues over the past few days. As our team works on the issue, we've removed the tournaments from the lobby until such time that we can guarantee a smooth playing experience for players. Please stay tuned.
Private games for Monday that was scheduled before are not there any more, so i guess no games for Monday also.
5 days less to clear my Bonus (until today) , that sucks

I'll look into the bonus situation Logan as this will be affecting a few of our players. No promises but i'm sure we'll be able to sort out some kind of extension.
I've rescheduled our buyin league game to the 13th so hopefully that should be clear of the problems.

At least the Bonus is released in $10's , so if is not completed in full i could still have some $, not like others that if not clear all, you get $0
But if you could sort out some extra days will be awsome.
About the league game, at the end i think was better for me to be reschedule, this way going to be in Sunday and not saturday like before

Update
Just been talking to our rep at Power Poker.
He's naturally very frustrated with all of the problems as it is obviously out of PP's control right now. Like us, they are sat waiting for the issues to be to solved by the Cake Network technical staff who are as we like to say in the business "working on it". Once everything is fixed and running smoothly, they will make decisions about games, bonuses, etc.
So we have to be patient right now and hope things will be fixed before Sundays game and then look into the bonus issue.

I pass by yesterday for PP and play about a 1 hr in a ring game i think made 1 bonus point LOL
In the time there i don't have any issue with the software, maybe that is good news.

Bonus Update
I've talked our my rep at PP about Logans request on extra time to clear them. You do have 3 months to clear your bonus from the day of your first deposit and i imagine this should be ample time for the bonus chasers.
Our rep did say that if anyone is feeling that they are going to fall a week or so short of time, then we may be able to extend it to help out.
So anyone that runs short should just message to me at the appropriate time (before the dealine would be best) and i'll try and sort something out for you.
