I opened an account there this month and they gave me both: 7 days entry into $500 freeroll tournaments just for new players

You may read rumours going around about the Poker.com brand name being sold (true) and what this may mean (conjecture). Preparation for this has been going on for some time now so the news is not a big surprise. For how long players will be able to use Poker.com software remains to be seen although i have not seen any information about imminent changes. Here is some info on the Merge Gaming Network, which host Poker.com, Carbon Poker, Poker Nordica, etc.

Merge Gaming Poker Network

Merge Gaming Network is one of the newest online poker networks today, formed in February of 2007. Originally, the Merge Gaming Network was headed by the poker room and network, Poker.com. The Merge Gaming Network is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission; which is the holder of more than 300 online poker and casino rooms.

Even though the network is new, the player base is not. The software has been around since 2005 with the launch of the network Poker.com. Early in 2007 Poker.com made the decision to change its business model, and created the new poker network. The main reason for this change was the large difference in the Poker.com website, which is now no longer an online poker room in itself. The site now functions as a poker portal, with updates and news about poker. Merge Gaming Network is still ran by the same management as its previous network.

I have allways loved to play on Poker.com/Carbonpoker but now when some asked for a few bounty tournaments, but ffs there are only bounty tournaments now it feels like, if you look for a NL freezout tournament without bounty you will have to look very good cause there are just a few left. SUCKS BIG TIME

On Tuesday the 19th at 2:00am server time, the much anticipated version 4.4 software client will go live. During this changeover period the servers will be down for a maximum three hours. However when you log back on their will be loads of new stuff for you to explore and enjoy, as well as some free cash bonuses.

I've played quite a lot at Carbon in the past year. It's a good looking poker room, but player traffic is low compared to the big guys of the industry. The software tends to make my computer freeze quite regularly, meaning I have to log out and log back in again - which is pretty frustrating. Carbon tech support haven't been able to solve this problem.

Maybe they cant solve because is not a software problem, it looks to me that is your internet connection or your PC.

For me the softw run really fine, is one of the best software of all the sites, never freeze or have any problem.

The promotions in carbon never end.

This month have the Luck Box, when reach a limit of earned points they give you the chance to pick one of 3 boxes, all of 3 have money but different amounts.

Thanks. It's a problem that only crops up at Carbon. My games keep on grinding to a halt and I get the message 'A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?'
It messes up the software (and the rest of my computer) and the only fix is to close Carbon down and relaunch. It seems to be a problem linked to the displays in the lobby plugging the Bad Beat jackpot and Caribbean stud.
Carbon support said I should uninstall and reinstall Flash and this should clear it up but it made no difference. Every other poker site I use seems to run OK and I don't use wireless. I use Firefox as my browser and I was wondering if this was somehow incompatible with the Carbon software....

I get that same message all the time on all there sites on my computer. I have an old 2000 model Compaq. My wife has the newer computer 2006 dell and she does not get the message. I think it is a RAM problem happens mostly when I have more than one page open. Try and close IE and any other game room that you might have open. I defrag and clear out temporary internet files all the time and this helps some. Some times I have to run register cleaner to get it to work.

It's aruntime error and Merge has had problems with it for ages. They cannot seem to figure it out either. If you look at your systems resources while running this site, even you don't have a table open, it uses virtually all of your RAM.

What's New In Version 4.5 - Live Wednesday 1 April @ 00:00 (CarbonPoker Time)

CarbonPoker is proud to announce the launch of its highly anticipated release of Version 4.5 and the long awaited VIP program. The new software and VIP program bring with them a handful of changes that you need to know about and understand in order to get the most out of your CarbonPoker experience. Below you will find a details of all the new additions to Version 4.5 and the VIP program.
4.5 Software Features / Changes

Poker Game Personalisation - allows players to select from several different graphics for the poker game including:

* table backgrounds
* table floors
* table rails
* card backs
* general user interface tinting

Poker Game Mini Mode - allows players to put the poker game into "mini mode" such that it has a minimal interface and is still legible at small resolutions. This allows multi-tablers the ability to run more tables on the screen at the same time and still have them all visible. The user interface has been simplified when in mini-mode to allow for basic actions and the user can easily switch between normal and mini mode on an individual window basis. Further to this when the table is being used in mini mode, players can manually resize the window and use the mini mode interface in full screen.
Poker Game Grid Mode - has been overhauled to allow players to specify any grid combination with up to 5x5 games. It allows the poker game to be split out into a separate window and/or back into a grid window on an individual window basis.
Tournament Entries and Payouts - tournament entry, addons, rebuys, bounties, and payout schedules have been totally overhauled to include greater flexibility of options. The client has been updated to give players the choice between multiple payment options for tournament entry.
Heads Up Sit'n'Go Rematch - now offer the ability for players to rematch immediately after the end of the game.
Network Diagnostic Tool - brand new tool that is built into the client and is offered to users when they get disconnected or are unable to connect. May provide help in identifying the problem the user is experiencing.
VIP Program Features

New VIP points system to replace excisting comp point system.
VIP Points can be used:

* to enter guaranteed tournaments
* to exchange for cash
* to enter real money SnG's
* to enter Live Seat satellites

What's Changed in V4.5

Freerolls:
