Check-Raise The Turn?
So, should I have check-raised the turn?

hmmm, it's a tough one, but I think with the limping PF that a PF raise would have been best, & pop it on the flop...

Is this play more of a NL play rather than PL
(these are the type of situations i struggle with as i'm generally a NL player)
Was your decision governed by the fact of who was on your left

i think i would have been betting out the flop (flush draw & over cards) to cut down the field and gauge where i was (only you or murific likely to have a 4). then betting out first on the turn as well, once i've hit the top pair with flush possibility.
hard to say about the check raise as you may not have got rid of the ace given what was in the pot.

Sorry to answer the wrong question but I'm getting a pot bet in there on that flop. You gotta find out if you make the flush are you already behind to a house; similarly, if you hit a pair on the turn are you being tripped.
A check raise on the flop may have been too expensive for greedygrem to call.
How aggressive had the table been?
