Doom Switch ActivatedI don`t tend to do bad beat posts but this one stung quite a bit and I feel the need to exorcise it.
I`d been playing $25 NLHE for about 2 hours on Full Tilt. I was up around $4 or $5 and was getting ready to leave. I was waiting for the BB to get to me and was utg+1 when I look down at Ad Kd.
I made a standard raise to .75 and picked up a single caller from the SB.
The flop came 5d Qc 10s and the caller lead out for .25. I figured he`d hit a small piece but not the queen and so I re-raised to $1. I had forgotten that this guy was incapable of laying down 2nd pair and he called.
The turn is the money card the Jd. If I could have picked any card it would have been this because it not only gave me the straight but the re-draw to the nut flush. I was wondering how to extract some value when my opponent lead out for $2.50. I didn`t try anything fancy I just min re-raised to $5 and he comes right back over the top to put me all-in If we have the same hand I`m free rolling and if not I know I have him beaten and so I call.
He turns over Js 10c.
Then the doom switch is flicked and the Jc lands on the river. leaving me somewhat stunned as the pot flies across to him.
At approx 9% it was a hand he`ll win about 1 in 10 so it`s not really that bad a beat but it definitely stung

Oh yeah I just realised I didn`t put down how much I had at the start of the hand, approx $19-$20.
