They won't get my time or money. - Screw them!!

i'm not so sure adam. i think that the microgaming network has been watching how PokerHost has been faring since moving to the network and Doyles has just decided to follow suit - hence the 11 banned states, just like Pokerhost.
you never know though !

Unfortunately, Illinois is one of those states that banned online poker. I don't use personal credit cards to deposit, but instead use a gift card. That seems to work. I need to decide if I want to try another poker room though. I have been loyal to .com since I started. I would entertain others thoughts here. I didn't really like PokerStars - too big and too many players. Tried AP but don't really like that one either.

New Software :
The Microgaming software at Doyles Room is finally coming into it's own. The downloadable software now features resizable and tileable tables, ability to upload your own avatars, instant hand history plus customizable table and flooring colours. The games seem to run smoother and there is still the flash version of the site for those that wish to play without installing the software permanently on their computer.
To celebrate the new software, Doyles is running a special freeroll this Saturday. More here.

Ive deposited 500$ but cant find any info on this offer?? Is it still going? Would love to get those books
For info chasing pts for bonus takes forever. U need to contribute to a raked hand (0.25) to get pts Doing this on pokerhost that is on the same network is alot easier since every raked hand counts....if anyone cares to know

sorry this took so long.
so what happened was that they ran out of stock and have temporarily stopped this particular promotion for now. according to our rep, there should be no problem with you getting your books when they finally get a new batch in but she couldn't give me any definate date yet.
i'll check back with them in a couple of weeks for an update and let you know. you'll be getting them eventually !
note : the $500 book promo is temporarily suspended until further notice.

Important News From Doyles Room
A big thumbs up to Doyles for doing everything they can to stick with US players. Please read through the whole thing.
And i quote...
"DoylesRoom.com has been informed by its software provider that effective Monday November 10th, 2008; they will no longer be accepting any new players from the United States of America. Existing players from the USA will not be affected by this and will be able to continue playing.
Based on the above, DoylesRoom.com has decided to continue its marketing efforts in the USA and the rest of the world, and to this end we are quickly working towards migrating to a new software platform that will support our efforts to provide security and stability to all USA players and affiliates.
Currently, we are negotiating with multiple software providers."

I don't know what IPPPay is either. I'm currently trying to get my PIC-CLUB account working which I think will be a good thing. Trouble is that they decided to move their credit card function to another country Nov 26th.. which would take a few days ... and they still don't have it up and working yet. *ugh* --- Will let you know how well Pic-Club works if I ever get it going.

Some Pic-Club chat going on here.
Also, here's some news on Doyles. For the moment they will be suspending private games whilst they are sorting out their software move. Although no official announcement has been made, they are expected to make the move in about one month and once again be open to players in the US.
My relationship with them still appears to be good so i hope we'll be back there a.s.a.p. with some more forum games on the new platform.

News Just In
Although the official e-mail has yet to go out, Doyles Room is now in the process of making the switch to the Cake Network. It is already possible to download the new site from the Doyles Room Homepage although i don't think they have transferred existing accounts to the new software yet.
If you check out the homepage, you will see that it is already reflecting Cake style promotions.
I would still advise waiting until the official e-mail is sent out and then following the instructions given !
Launch Party
Looks like there will be a $5000 Freeroll on 31.01.09 at 5PM EST to celebrate the switch.

Just to back up this information. I've managed to transfer my account to the new Cake software and have uploaded pics in the top post and in the main Alternate Poker Doyles Room Review.
As i stated earlier, it's probably best to wait until they send out the official announcement to all players before you go ahead and download the new software but i wanted to give you the fast track heads up on what's going on.
Doyles Room is back in the USA !
Some Extra Info On The Change
The customer support division at Doyle’s Room says it is critical that players do not load up both versions of Doyle’s Room. To be able to play on the proper network, existing players will have to uninstall the old Doyle’s Room software and load up the new network’s software from the site. For those players that are already on the Cake network, Doyle’s Room support states that once a player has uninstalled the older version and loaded the new one, you should be able to use your Cake network information to access the tables through Doyle’s Room.
P.S. More info on that $5000 Launch Party Freeroll can be found here.

ok, in answer to the question of whether old bonuses will be carried over this is the reply from our rep (and i quote) :
"All your players who deposited and were clearing the bonus before the change are still eligible for the bonus. They will get it as soon as they achieve the required amount of action points"
and as i alluded to in terms of the change over and why your bonus might not be showing, she goes on to say :
"Right now we are in the process of merging all kind of data, that is our priority at this moment"
the only question left on the bonus issue would seem to be on whether there is a time limit or not, which i am now awaiting a reply for. i'll let you know as soon as i do.

the DOH question of the day, I didn't really play much other than league games on there, some cash occasionally (that I can remember)
before I got the new one running I checked my points, had about 350 & bonus showinig at 92% pending, so the DOH question, did that mean I had 92% to go to clear it, or was I only 8% away from clearing it...DOH, if it was only 8% I should have played it off, DOH what an idiot I am sometimes (DON'T SAY IT!!!)

$25,000 DOYLE'S CELEBRITY BOUNTY
Thursday, April 2nd - 9:30pm ET
True Hollywood Legend Mickey Rourke headlines a mega celebrity Doyle's Bounty this week. Most recently awarded a Golden Globe and Oscar nominated for "The Wrestler" and soon to play the arch villain in the upcoming "Ironman 2", Mickey is spending the evening at DoylesRoom and taking on all comers!
Joining our team of celebrites is Grammy-winning singer and actress, Eve. With over 7 million (yes six zeros) records sold and plenty of movies under her belt, this hip hop legend is ready for a showdown on the poker table.
Returning to the bounty are two of our fan favorites. The stunning hotel heiress, fashion designer and model, Nicky Hilton brings experience, charm and a strong will to win.
Our 4th celebrity is the gorgeous Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Called "The Best TV Series Ever", The Sopranos is where we all came to know Jamie, as Meadow Soprano. A bounty veteran, Miss Soprano..errr..Jamie-Lynn knows what it takes to get the "job" done.
No bounty would be complete without the Legendary 10-time WSOP winner Doyle Brunson and the world's foremost authority on strategy and statistics, Mike "The Mad Genius" Caro. Last week's bounty tournament winner river_robin also joins the bounty mix with a $500 prize on his head.
Remember, all first time players can request a full refund on this page and we'll return every penny of your $27.50 buy-in win or lose!
