You know you shouldnt , youve told yourself not to , youve had a small in brain conferance and the general verdict was FOLD!!!!!

Then some stupid Gremlin pops into your brain and starts whispering 'call call call call call call'

Stupid bloody gremlin just cost you half your stack, and now hes nowhere to be seen cos hes legged it and is now hiding behind a frontal lobe chuckling to himself whilst calling you a twonk

Its at that point that you want to crawl in there yourself and start chasing the little b*****d all around the nether regions of your brain pin him up against your forehead and give him a pasting

Bloody Gremlins!!!!!!

If anyone owns a Gremlin please let me know how you manage to house train the dirty little git

..... or just microwave the gremlin if you can catch him !

in my case the gremlin is usually right (he lives in my gut you see) and it's normally me that messes things up !

It is amazing how often that gut feeling works out. A good example of one was a game i was in last night. I was Big blind with K7 os and biggest chip stack at the table.. Not particularly the best hand in the world. Anyhow after a fold or two one player goes all in with about 900 chips followed by a second with not much more. I am thinkong to my self that lucks interesting and my gut felling was to call them even with this suspect hand. However the small blind called them first (he had enough chips to do me some damage) so i decided to go against my gut intinct and fold . I would have called if he folded. Any how flop gives K X 7. W]Followed by K on turn. ANd how i wished i when with my gut.

It isworking out what is a gut feeling and what is your head saying to this might just but work out

Stepgen, I have done that soooooo many times before as well, because I've always been taught that the more players in the hand, the better pockets you should be playing with. I would have folded pre-flop as well. No use getting bothered over it ..... If you wouldn't have played them anyway without limping it was probably wise to fold.

My problem is that I fed him after midnight and poured water on him and it's not just 1 but many telling me to call! sometimes they are right!

yeap the pot is very tempting to call even if you know you can also lose all money but the temptation is too high

anyway i hope this doesn't happen in the real money tournys because is very brutal

i have dealt with this same gremlin many different times myself i find the hardest thing to overcome is not to call a well invested pot when you kno in your head you are beat sumtimes i just cant let it go but i am alsogetting better with pot odds so this helps in this factoin as well GL to everyone in MLP in the future.......anold
