it was only a $1 buy-in though, sit n go -10 people

down to 4 people i had about 2.5k chips.

had K/9 suited called a pre flop bet of 400 (which was probably a bad call anyway) everyone else folded. flop came out K,5,9 all was off suit. was well chuffed, thought i'd check it hoping he bluffs, which he did with a raise of 600 so i pushed all-in, he calls, cards up all he had was 3,5 diamonds (i know what a donkey) turn diamond, at this point i knew it was going to happen. river another diamond he hit the flush. i was heart broken.. what the hell was he thinking..

I guess the other guy saw your check as a signal that you had missed the flop and your all-in as steal.

I wonder if you had bet the flop, whether you would have won the hand.

It is often dangerous to try to trap in a low buy-in game, take the pot down early.
