If you don't bet high enough the fish bite back.

Ok the pick tells it all.

I’am on about 4,400 in the sb and i call the bb 100, flop comes 77k.
i have kJ so i bet 200 and get some action from one of the lose players at the table and the chip leader from a coulple of lucky playes.
turn comes 4 so i bet again and get called, they must have ?? SMALL PP or there chasing the A, they have been lose and lucky, river is a 5, i push all in and get called, they have P 5s and hit trips.
I’am betting and they are just calling, yes i should have bet bigger, and pushed.
BUT i do think that 8 out of 10 times iam the winner.

Its just that in the tourney before this one i went out first hand to trip 5s.
I had Qs 10s flop is 10d 5s 2s, anyway he had p 5's and iam out.

So what did this remind me ??,,,, the single size bet, the blind size bet, call it what you will does not get it done; For info nor for removel.
By trhe river its to late you already drownd.....RIP.

Hi

This is true... sometimes if the blinds are low I dont eve like doing a pot size bet.......
PoolDemon

you know, sometimes with those fish it doesn't matter how much you bet, even all in I've seen low PP's call, & as always they hit by the river, if we play a small PP like that, IT NEVER EVER HITS !!!

That being said, I would have bet the pot on the turn if I were you, 1K, unless they are a total donk, they should then fold, if I was that player, I could easily have put you on AQ or AJ, or a flush draw, possibley a 7 or more likely a king, or a smaller PP, so I might still be ahead...so I think I would have called...

I kind of look at it this way, what hands do I think my opponent has, and can I beat some of those hands, if it's like 50-50 I think for small bets, I would have to definetly call...

Question, why bet the flop & turn, but then check the river ?
