Is It Just Me?Or does this seem incredibly pointless.
I was just looking through the satellites on Stars. The games that attracted my attention and caused this post were some deepstack turbo events. I just can`t see the point. Surely one element counters the other. You might as well play a standard freezeout with regular blind levels and regular starting chips. It`s exactly the same.

turbo faster way to lose to a donk...
deep stack slightly slower way to lose to a donk...
a great example of someone doing stuff without really haveing a clue as to what they are doing, but doing it anyways, and whoever supervises them just saying "ok" without seeing what was done...

Makes perfect sence to me. It'll work well in the Razz Hi/Lo games.
... seiously it will have an effect on the game.
For the first hour it won't make much difference as the amount of blinds are a small percentage of your starting chips. Later in the game, the faster blinds (combined with the larges starting stacks) will have the effect of speeding up the later stages of the games.
In the deepstack turbo games the big blind will be a larger portion of the average stack than in a regular freezeout.
