I figured that there must be a fair few of us still with money at Nordica that would still like to play some forum games there and give us the possibility of picking up more sponsorship in the future.
Now i can't arrange money added games for now but what we have agreed on is a 6 game league where the overall winner will get a $109 coupon (or we may have 3 x $33 coupons) to their big weekly guaranteed event.
My only issue is that if we don't get enough of our members playing at Nordica during the 2 months of games, i will need to find half of the coupon prize, so i need to maximise the numbers as much as possible plus i want to give you folks a choice in what type of league we make this - hence this poll. However this turns out, i think it is worth the risk as Nordica have given us so much in the past and unless you guys don't want to play there, i reckon we should go ahead (they are not asking very much in all honesty).
Games will be run over a couple of months starting later this month. They will be $2 + .20 buyins as usual with a top 3 or 5 payout. We will have an overall award and medals for each game (if we get 10).
Note : The poll will close on Thursday at 11:00 BST.
Feel free to add any comments here as well ...eg if you have a second choice or if you hate one of the options.

i'm thinkng every other thursday night until the finish of the Bodog games then the last 2 or 3 weekly. seems to be a good night for people.
this isn't fixed yet though.

if the $109 ticket is a lot of trouble, a $60 ticket could be a better idea, or maybe give 2 $11 tickets?.

if we were going to split it, we could do 2 or 3 x $33 coupon for the regular deepstack i suppose. that might not be a bad idea actually as we keep more players interested towards the end of the league.
worth thinking over for sure.

i have to maximise the numbers for this one jolub as i've mentioned in the top post. unfortuantely we don't get good enough numbers for the other formats.

i'd love to do HORSE but look at all our last leagues. we were barely getting 10 a game towards the end and i at least want to take the best shot i can of not having to fork out any cash.
if i was sure of the sponsorship, i'd be happy to give that a go but even 3 or 4 extra per game could make quite a difference and No Limit gives us the best chance at that.

I`m afraid H is right. I`m happy enough with NLHE because that`s really all I`m playing atm. I do understand those that would like to see something different. I might have suggested pot limit omaha, but this game needs to attract as many players as possible and that means NLHE. Hopefully it will just be a straight league because I`m really not wild about bounty games.

I agree with DM word for word. As for the end of tournament prize, great idea! How about a 50/30/20 split to maximize player interest for the last few games?

well the best deal has to be the $33 coupon for the guaranteed deepstack tournament so a split won't really be possible as some of the other coupons are a bit naff and i want to get the best value for the forum and those playing.
however there will be the extra award for the winner so hopefully that will keep up some incentive and with 3rd place being a really good prize, it should keep more members in the hunt as we get down to the wire.

so i've decided to propose games running on Fridays starting the 30th Oct.
3 x $33 coupons for the guaranteed deepstack weekly game goes to the top 3 league finishers.
top 5 payout for each game.
...i'l post it all when and if it's confirmed.
