odds of flopping set or quads with a pp

what are the odds of flopping set or quads with a pp....i googled it but every other link says somthin different
DangerMouse

Odds of flopping quads holding a pp are 407-1

Odds of flopping a set are around 7.5-1

how do u combine them?????
PoolDemon

you don't combine them, those are your odds for each happening...i've only flopped quads 2 or 3 times that I can remember...

well whats chance of floppin set or better....the answer cant be 407-1 and  7.5-1...just one answer is what im lookin for....
PoolDemon

you can either flop a set, or flop quads, there are better hands to flop than a set too, straight, flush, there are odds for hitting any of them, you can't really combine them into one possible odds ratio...

top post does say what odds are when holding a Pocket Pair so that doesnt give many hands better than a set, only FH and quads if i am not mistaking..

i am no good with probabilities for different hands and so on..    so i leave that up to you guys
unclefester420

say u hold aa preflop......im tryin to find the out what chance u would have of flopping either a set or quads......not the chance u  flop a set and the chance u flop quads.im lookin for  the chance that  1 of those 2 outcomes will happen when that flop comes...
Miklosik

The answer is 7.5 -1.  Quads contain a set so the fourth one is just icing on the cake
DangerMouse

Well that`s a 7.5-1 chance you`d have of flopping a set or better.

There might be a more precise answer but the difference would be minimal because the odds of flopping a full-house or quads are so long.
