Spoiler:

Although the A234 was a very strong hand I felt it was right to fold in this situation. My main reason was unless I hit the wheel it was unlikely I would end up with much of a high hand. I was confident the re-raiser had an A2 (Lots of players overplay A2) and it was highly likely if I hit the low I would be quartered.

As things turned out I would have ended up with half the pot - quartering both opponents. I try not to worry too much about outcomes though. Making the correct decision is far more important in the long run.

That being said I`m not 100% sure it was the right decision. Thoughts?

I would of called the to see the flop. You had the nut low draw plus you never know what will be on the flop. You might of flopped a FH, str8 flush low. You might of gotten 1/4 but you might of gotten the scoop too.
PoolDemon

in the BB with a min raise, sure, play it, but facing raise/re-raise it's a hand that's mainly good for the low, which gets split a lot, not worth playing imo...
Miklosik

I would have seen the flop at least just to see where my sooooots were going so long as I had the nut low to start with.
katymaty

Alot depends on the players themselves. I've played a few times on cash games and the amopunt of raises and reraises preflop and the junk they show at the end

Sad thing is they get rewarded for their bad play.

I would have called to see the flop  Curiosity killed the cat

I would like to know how many places get paid as this may or may not play a decision on my play.  I would call unless there is a huge bet.

I think it was 24 places payed but I`ve no idea how close we were to the money at that point. Not very close I wouldn`t think. I know it`s lvl 11 but they`re only 6 min levels.

Can`t be a huge bet it`s FL But I am facing a raise and re-raise with a hand that`s primarily shooting for the low.

Re: Omaha8b - Correct Fold?

Very sound thinking DM, too many seem to think that A-2-x-x is the stone cold nuts in 08 and over-bet pre-flop,  then if they flop a low draw you can never shake them off.

You were really looking for a specific flop and for me 08 is a game of options. Good fold.

If you had been in the hand would you have called the 80 post flop and then 160 to see the river. Those may have cost much more on some tables.

Sometimes in these limit games where players go, fire fire fire, you can be dragged in to a someone else's battle. Best to bail early than to three bet with a hand you are not 90% sure off.
KITYKATS

I would fold. I am not real good at omha so when I do play I go for the big hands.
kesza

This is an 'unfoldable' hand preflop (to me). If there is a low possibility - no matter with what cards - you surely have the nut low, and a very big chance to hit a wheel also.
DangerMouse

I will say that if Id had a suited ace I probably would have made the call.

However with my only flush draw coming from my 2s3s I opted to fold
Mrs know-nuffin

In my opinion I would have done the same.

So many players will go for the low only convinced it will always come, whereas the only certainty in O8 is that there is always a high hand.

In fact I was in a 3 way hand just yesterday, 3 low cards flopped and all 3 of us had A2. The wheel did not come so I had only the low and came away with less chips than I went in.

Certainly for a cheap price it was worth having a look with your hand but I too would have been nervous of the raise and re-raise.

A nice starting hand sure, but not necessarilly unfoldable.
DangerMouse

I ran the exact hand through a simulator.
