PACIFIC POKER (888)

Pacific Poker

Pacific Poker
One of the largest online poker sites Pacific poker.com has grown tremendously during last year to become the favourite poker room for many Texas Hold'em players looking for very “juicy” high-action tables and frequent promotions.
Available is Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo (8 or Better). No-limit and Pot-Limit cash games have been launched in January.

Recommended for players looking to have a good chance at winning. This online poker site is a subsidiary of Cassava Enterprises, Ltd, which owns and operates Casino-on-Net. Therefore you have a lot of "wild" casino customers at the tables!

Casino-on-net is one of the oldest and biggest online casinos, operating since 1996. Intersafe Global Europe Limited, the E-cash subsidiary of Pacific Poker, is the provider of all cash and Credit Card processing’s to Pacific Poker Players

Traffic
The traffic at pacific poker.com is concentrated to the hold’em games. There is however plenty of action here due to the high number of players and so there is little waiting time required for your favourite events. Real money player statistics for Pacific Poker.com - March 2005: 2200-2600 ring game players at peak hours, 3500-5000 tournament players at peak hours

Playability
Very loose games. Pacific poker.com brings in a high number of gamblers from its casino operation, so lots of mad action. Navigation around Pacific poker is easy and the tables have a good look and feel to them.

Software
Nown as one of the online poker sites that does not have the greatest software. But their top games and great promotions make them an industry leader. The software was a bit slow, but has recently been improved to run at a good speed even during peak periods. More improvements are imminent and finally they have added no-limit ring games.

The software has the advanced buttons like check/fold etc to make your playing experience relaxing. There is also a new easy to use notes facility. There is also an online poker hand history availiable.

The table layout is excellent and easy to view, it has a nicely designed lobby that has information on view flop percentage and hands played per hour.

Players at pacific poker.com should have no problems being comfortable for many hours as the colors used are very easy on the eye. The software itself runs nicely and has recently been improved to run at a good speed even during peak periods.

I've played here and it tends to go pretty fast which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

I haven't played at Pacific for quite some time. I won $1.80 in freeroll and managed to cash out over $200 after a few weeks. There are a lot of very loose players their and they are the reason that I built a bankroll so quickly. On the other hand, all those loose players were just as responsible for my bankroll going dry. After I cashed out I left about $25 in my account and played the $10 NL tables. I had all my money in with the best hand almost all the time and was amazed at the run of bad luck I had. I was over a 90% favorite a lot of the time and got outdrawn. I'm not whining because that is just poker for you. I've had my fair share of suck outs too. I am not really too impressed with the graphics and the last time I played the software kept on freezing up on me. It got to be too annoying and I haven't been back since I lost my last $25. If you play there I am Sabre28.

I have played on pacific on and off for the last six months and at times it drives me nuts. The most common thing is it causes my mouse to go nuts and freeze. AT first i thought it was the mouse itself, but three of the later and the problem still presists (and always it seems when you have a big hand?!?!? ). it also again has to a tendency to disconect you again at the worst possibly moments (for example was playing to night. Was on BB with J8 and was called round to me and i checked. flop gives 828. i think great and check hoping for some one to bet out. Player next to me stalls on his decision and i wait and wait and wait . next thing i know i have been disconnected).
But apart from that it is not a bad sight

Hello,

I play at pacific for about a year now and never had any problem with the software. Works perfectly stable for me.
And yes, at pacific there are more fish, gamblers, luckers, calling stations and bad players as anywhere else. That is what made my bankroll grow there, although I got a lot of bad beats too.
All in all a nice site in my point of view.

Good luck at the tables,
Fusspilz.
