I've only played in one tournament at PokerHost so far. I have to say that I do like the site. I am a big fan of Doyle's Room so it is obvious that I would like PokerHost. The sit-n-goes are nice since they have a huge variety of buy in amounts, even as low as $.10. I really didn't like the old PokerHost at all. I think it stayed on my desktop for about three days before I uninstalled it. The new one is much better.

This site easily should be in your top 5 for the worst players on the internet. I played doylesroom for a really long time until I just couldn't take the worst Ace winner way to often. It still happens. I do play some O8 with the worst players I've ever seen there. In the last 2 days I went from 7 bucks to 60 plus and I've only played about an hour and half. LOL! They simply play hoping to get lucky so expect a lot of suck outs but it should still be profitable. Play short stacked and try to get your money in with the best hand or draw and you'll turn a profit.

i have played at paddypower.com (being irish i guess i have to) for quite a while and also at VCpoker both on the same system as Doyles room and Poker Host. AS Harry says you can always find a game quickly and sit and go's start from 10c (well they do on the first two) and i used these to get some experience starting out. Good place to play and learn

I'm repeating myself but I just have to, there are some of the worst players anywhere on that site. Expect the suckouts but in the longer run you can't help but profit on the site.
I started my original roll on doylesroom and it was my first online experience. It is the one and only time I actually had to deposit my own money. I deposited about 70 dollars. 2.5 years later I'm still playing everywhere with the other guys money.

I started my Poker life on VC poker & won my first ever MTT there, taking down 3.2k it was a momentous occasion & I celebrated long into the night.
It took me about 4 hrs to win the tourney & my wife about 3 hrs to spend the $ on new white goods & other stuff for the kitchen....I will never forget it...its all a learning curve
Anyone living in the UK may also want to check out Blue Square (the poker room link is on our resource page), this is the home of Grosvenor Casinos & you can qualify online for all of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour UK live Festivals, including the Northern Lights Blackpool, South England Champs in Southampton, The Vic in London, Luton, and lots more Read more here (but please use our link to access the site) http://www.grosvenorukpokertour.com/about.shtml

NEWS :
PokerHost will be moving to the Microgaming Network. They were once on the Tribeca Network but because Tribeca will stop serving US customers, PokerHost decided to move. Microgaming does not accept players from 11 states. It is still unsure what Network other Tribeca poker sites like Doyles room will switch to.
Such a shame as it's my least favorite poker software !!!

Update
I have read today that Poker Host will soon be accepting players from the US again very soon. Rumour has it that the Cake Network is once again the favoured destination although (much like Doyles Room delayed announcing even though the change was imminent) no official word on which network they will end up on.

well either that or microgaming are going to change their policy again - seems unlikely.
