PotOdds questionI'm not a fan of all this maths but I think I'm not doing so bad in poker.
But the player here who was last to act , tried to tell me that I suck and that he HAD to call because of pot odds
Please tell me what you think

Running the hand through a sim, he`s about 29% to win so he`s not that far from having the odds to call. But, to say he had to call is ludicrous. Pot odds are great for cash games because you`re looking to make long term good decisions, the individual hand does not matter because if you go bust you can always reload. In a tourney you`re playing to win and looking for an edge over your opponent and one mistake and you`re out so it isn`t always right to call just because you have the correct odds.

Niti, the guy was just mad because you win.
he need to put 1380 to win a 2980 in the pot
He HAD to go on? That was his call, not that him was forced
I Think Pot odds are to help, not to play a hand no matter what, have to be some brain.
He got k-9 unsuited, not bad but not the top, you can have any pair, and first to think is that you have AX, and further that, is not a 50/50 shot because is not a one on one all in, another guy also go before him, so, he have 33% or less, he most beat you and the other guy to win, and he call?
Is not like he have compromise his chips in the flop or turn, was preflop
"all in" is a flip coin, you can said that some cards have 50, 60% to win, but at the end you can have 2-3 and win to a AA.
And if you are a bad player, that was better for him, why tell you? to be better and beat him?
I think he is the Sucker and also a bad loser.

I'd like to know what the stacks were at the start of the hand. Getting more than 2:1 on your money is o.k. if you have the enough of a stack to keep playing if you lose. The third guy in the hand tho, wtf is he thinking?

Unless enochonwood2 had you covered 10:1 he had no business being in the hand... unless he just fancied a gamble.
Pot odds shmot odds. To easy to use that as an excuse for a poor call.

y the small blind called, who knows, but the BB, if he felt like gambling, was putting 1400 into a pot that did give him 2-1, & with no further loss of chips.
The big question is what was his stack size ?
even with the math it's a bad call in a tournament, but let's say he had 6K in chips or something, then it's an insta call with the hopes of elminating 2 players if he sucks out...after all, it's merge, the king of bad beat sites...
if he's crippled if he calls, then it's an insta fold...
His comments afterwards were sarcastic for the best hand holding up, well then he's an idiot, he felt like gambling on a site that regularly rewards weak hands, but for a change the best hand held up, & he didn't like it, I would have told him to take a flying "@#$%" or to kiss my @$$...but that's just me

That's the case I think.
I also have an easy explanation for his "move" but I wanted to hear you 1st.
It was a 2,50$ + 2,50$ Bounty SnG and he was just hoping to suck out and gettin 2 bounties with 1 weak hand - and was searching for an excuse
I had a long long chat battle afterwards and he told me I will see who is the better player.
He ended up as the bubble boy and I finished the chat with a "bye" which came from the bottom of my heart .
I came 2nd so it wasn't tooooo bad

yeah bounties bring out the donk in players, not that some need any extra incentive
I'll be the first to admit that I chastise some donkey's in perfect feckense for sucking out with a crap hand, but when you held a dominating hand, & managed to win with it (on merge???) what was he (not) thinking...
The crainiologiacally challenged individual that thought he was the better player even though K9 off suit is at best, even on merge, no better than wet dog poop, is a joke.
pre-flop, you're be about 65%, he would be about 25% to win.
flop you'd be about 75% to his 20%
turn you'd be about 88% to 12%
(math may be off a bit, 3 players in, but other player's cards are NFG unless both hit...)
