Pure genius

I have just finished a $1.00 tourney on Poker Time and thought I'd share this way not to play the big stack.

GENIUS1978 had made a number of marginal calls that came good for them and held a dominant stack, after 3 hours of play we approached the bubble.

The trouble was s/he wanted to play every hand, minimum raised every pot and would call any bet. S/he won some and lost some, but never dented their stack; any bet no matter how big or small was called pre-flop and post flop saw a C-bet... until the following four consecutive hands saw them crash.

Because I'm a wicked so and so and will go straight to hell,  here was my parting comment.

> Dealing the River(4h )
> grosdodo wins 35,780 with Two Pair, Queens over Fours and kicker card Ace
> Genius1978 has left the tournament in 50th place

to be fair, there may have been a method to his/her madness.  We just can't figure it out.

hi

well.. you said he had a big stack and never really got   dented  soi maybe he wanted to see the  flop  and thought the  price  right
Know-nuffin

Yep the losses up to then were smaller than the wins; but to make preflop call 200xbb/almost 1/4 of their stack with 5-6 isn't the smartest move and from their the rot set in.

hi

plus its  a  1.00 dollar tourney so  maybe he did not have much to lose or  maybe he was playing another tourney at the same time.......    well...   why dont you ask that player
Know-nuffin

I shall go and ask them now.
PoolDemon

well the 6-5 suited certainly was a bad call, but why is AK suited a bad call,  or was that after the flop ?

the KQ hand was an obvious bluff, as was the A6 suited...

but no matter what position or blind levels etc...it was a 1 buck tourney, not a bit suprising...
Know-nuffin

Oh I agree the AK was the correct call pre-flop... I just really liked the way grosdodo turned the tables in three from four hands.

The AK hand was just on in the sequence of four consecutive hands.
