When people say these things I always laugh .... if the tables had been turned would you think the royal was bull?

I would be interested in knowing more details however, did you make him pay dearly to chase his flopped flush draw to the river?

people talk too much of bad beats jugding the pre flop hands. The flush draw had a much better chance of inproving on the turn or the river than even trip aces so it mattered little that he hit the royal flush, A 2 hearts would have done you just as much damage. As Nat said would be interesting to see how the betting went as the hand progressed.
