The MLP Buy-In League Table : Season 1 FINAL STANDINGSWelcome to the MLP Buy-In League - Season 1 :- 1st place, $25 and the MLP Buy-In League trophy goes to Muratore. 
- 2nd place and $15 goes to Amarillo4. - In equal 3rd place, both with 2 top 3 finishes and $5 each come fooraces and Mrs. Know-nuffin. This will be a series of 6 events held over a 3 month period. Each game will be a $2.20 buy-in with $40 added to the prize pool - next up : Complete League table points will be awarded based upon your finishing position at qualifiying tourneys. Important - Please read extra rules and information below the Points System Table ! Event Schedule and Winners : New League Champion : Muratore
Extra Rules and Information : - The league will run from the start of January until the end of March. If the league is a success will will continue onto a Season 2. - All MLP members are welcome to join and play these games at any point throughout the six game season. Please note; to be eligible for points - you must have posted your screen name (prior to the game) in the specific tournament thread. - You do not have to be a Freeroll League member to play in the MLP Buy-In League. - If a player not eligible for points finishes in the top 10 of a given game, all players behind his finishing position will move up one position. - In the event of a tie, the player with the most top 3 finishes over the 6 games will be placed higher. - payment for the top 3 league winners will be organized between the player and Brian (eg. player to player transfer or neteller). - Forthcoming game details may be subject to change. Buy-In Table abbreviations : Pos. = Position Points = Total Points # 1 = Points achieved in Game 1 (# 2 = Game 2, etc) TBC = To be confirmed Medals and Trophies available : - the Buy-In League Overall Winners Trophy

hi everyone i'm putting this up now so that you can all have a look and ask questions in the next few weeks leading up to the start of our first buy-in league. if you have suggestions, feel free to post them but please don't be offended if i don't use them. i think we will go with this format for season 1 and look at it from there. i may possibly make one or two changes before january so please read through the format and rules again just before the start of the league. please remember : any mlp member can play in these games regardless of the overall league situation. all games can be considered as normal one off mlp buy-ins as well as counting towards the league. hopefully it is clear in the thread ! .........clear as mud i hear you say !!!

we need to keep the buy-in low to make sure we get the numbers we need to make the league work. as it is, for season 1, i'll be happy if we can get 15-20 per game. after each season i will review the structure, so it's not out of the question at a later stage !

yes, i was thinking along similar lines or maybe even a heads up tournament sometime. a lot will all depend on the cash ticker and if we can afford the extra tournament but perhaps you could re-post this in the wish list and we can have a look at it in the new year !

UPDATE :
good news everyone. we have decided to up the money added to the prize pool in the buy-in events from $25 to $40.
also, as we're having plenty of freerolls at jungle over the next couple of weeks, we've decided to set game 2 of the league at their site. ......more reasons to join in the fun !
p.s. remember that all members are welcome to come and play in any of our buy-ins whether you are part of the league or not. |

as far as i can see, it's not possible to transfer from OK USA to Jungle. Still we have two games tomorrow and one next week, so plenty of chances to win some cash. failing that, you could always deposit some winnings from elsewhere !!!

i just had a look at the buy-in league table.
i see only top 10 can still make it in to top 3, and top 6 can make it in to top 2 and only us 3 in yellow can still win it all. this also makes it quite interesting for next weekend in the jungle
who will be the winner if fooraces beat amarillo hu and i end up in 6th? if that happens we will all end up on 44 points and all 3 will have 3 top 3 finishes. all of us will have one win each during the season. all of us have 2nd places as well.... ok i know its an extreme situation.. but it can happen and just interesting to get attention to it Now than after it happens
i guess i will just have to make it to top 3 to be on he safe side
there are more scenarios like this, but the one i mentioned up there kind of takes it all in to one scenario.... well enjoy mr league manager sorting rules on this one  i dont really know myself what is most fair

saturday approaching.. excitement is in the air.. tension is building up..
Who will be the first ever buy-in league winner? the discussions are going wild on several pokerforums around the net between fans to the 3 players still in the run to take down the trophy and grant a place in the hall of fame! fooraces fans are saying that even tho he is 10 points behind first place, you must always keep him in mind for these kind of events.. i mean all those medals didnt get there by accident.. even though his fans are well aware of that he probably has to win it all on saturday to have a real chance to get the trophy.. but if he does.. he will get good points in hall of fame and that is motivation enough for the guy most hungry for fame in the forum
amarillos fans on the other hand are pushing a lot on his consistency in the league so far with points in every one of the events so far (except for a bad beat early in game #5) his ability to do good no matter what site we play. and of course since he has the least points to get to get that trophy. also he is still outside the hall of fame and needs another tourneywin or the trophy to get in. muratore obviously has the most fans cheering him on since he is the one in the top and really just needs to hold his position and watch his oponents in the last tourney to get the trophy.. even tho some are a bit concerned about his abilities to score points outside of poker.com but they also know that all he needs to do is a meeger 3rd to get his hands on the trophy, and probably not even that all depending on how the competition do..
other than the top 3 going for the trophy we have some interesting players aiming for gettingin to top 3 and the money for the league. those most interesting for that i must say are mrs KN that gave up her chance for the trophy in freeroll league to give KN a chance to get in to top 20 bonanza. but she needs at least a top 3 finish on saturday to get in to league top 3, and she is still waiting for her first medal which i guess is motivation enough. knowen2 and housecats are those that still have a chance to get in top 3. of course everyone down to 10th place still has a theoretical chance to get in to the money but i say since amarillo and fooraces are chasing the trophy and probably will get some good scores´on saturday it is only top 6 that has a real chance to get in to final top 3! after a quick look in the hall of fame.. the only ones with a chace to get their names into the hall of fame are truushot, elbandido and bigjoo sitting on 2 medals and of course the 3 going for the trophy.. ok... enough rambling now just hope we can have some more preregging for this and join the fun in the deciding mtt for the trophy! maybe put up a poll to see who the forum thinks will be the first buy in league champ

another thing to remember is that this will be the first trophy won by a MLP member as both brian and myself are part of the backstage team. i have a sneaking feeling for one player  ..........it's going to be another great MLP League finale !

as i said in another thread, this season was fun and as Nate said in table chat during FT, i guess i can only play good if i pay for it
i got 51 points in 5 events, that is an average 3rd place freeroll league i got a total of 5 points
