The MLP Freeroll League Table : Season 2 FINAL STANDINGSWelcome to the MLP Freeroll League Season 2 :- 1st place and the MLP Freeroll League trophy goes to Brian Wills. 
Top 20 go through to the $300 End of Season Bonanza ! If you are not yet a Freeroll League member and wish to take part in the Freeroll League, you can find all the information you need to join here. Table Updated : 18.03.07 (inc. OFC - Jan) This will be a series of 6 events held over a 3 month period. The first scoring game of each month will be a standard League Freeroll and the 2nd scoring game of each month will be a top 20 Posters/Referrers game. There will also be bonus points to be scored from the OFC monthly events - next up : Top 20 Bonanza at Jungle (click here for details). League table points will be awarded based upon your finishing position at qualifiying tourneys. Important - Please read extra rules and information below the Points System Table ! Freeroll League Points System
Extra Rules and Information : - The league will run from the start of January until the end of March with the top 20 finishing positions going on to the End of Season Bonanza - date to be confirmed near the end of each season ! - These games are for current Freeroll League members. If a player not eligible for points finishes in the top 10 of a given game, all players behind his/her finishing position will move up one position. Sit-outs will also not receive points and the same process applies. - In the event of a tie, the player with the most top 5 finishes over the 6 games will be placed higher. - Forthcoming game details may be subject to change. Freeroll and Event Table abbreviations : Pos. = Position Points = Total Points # 1 = Points achieved in Game 1 (# 2 = Game 2, etc) LF = Standard League Freeroll PR = Posters/Referrers Freeroll OFC = Points scored from Online Forum Challange Events TBC = To be confirmed Medals and Trophies available : - the Freeroll League Overall Winners Trophy

Hi folks
well here it is - our new freeroll league format. please read through everything carefully and as always, ask any questions if there's anything you don't understand and i'll do my best to respond. you'll notice we will be having a couple of different game formats (omaha h/l and 7 card stud - both limit to start with) so time to brush up on those poker rules. my vision is that somtime by the end of the year we will have tried all the formats so that the "top 20 bonanza" can become a H.O.R.S.E. tournament. i think this will make the bonanza's very special ! please bear in mind that some details may change as this is a bit of a work in progress, plus depending on the cash ticker - we may add another freeroll per month in the future. good luck with season 2 everybody !!!

was just thinking..
we usually are the same 30ish playing the league. and some are regulars in top 10 what if there wont be 20 players with league points when the bonanza is coming up? do we play it with those that have scored even if under 20 ppl? or maybe have a bubble champ take a seat in the bonanza? the player with most 11th places or rewarding points in a bubble leagie for those that finish say 11-13 in the tourneys and the winner in that league is first on the back up list if we dont get to 20 or maybe... now when i think of it this will just be a way of expanding the points payout structure so maybe not a great idea after all  because that wasnt my first thought on it all.. ok i am rambling now, hope you get the idea at least.. got worried that there might not be 20 points scorers throughout the season

ahhhhh....the ramblings of a mad man .......lol ! it's actually a good point but i'm pretty sure we will get 20 players scoring. we have new members joining the league all the time and i expect the fields to be 30+ on most occasions. if there are less then that's good news for those qualified. i think it is only right that you should score at least 1 point to qualify !

hi sheepo you normally need to post your screen name on the tournament thread. if you read above, you'll see there is always a link to the next one coming. this is the top 20 posters event at jungle, which is for the top 20 posters in december. the next freeroll game you will be eligible to play will be game 3 of the series.

I'm okay with Omaha and Hold em. Stud I've played a few freerolls, but RAZZ and HORSE could be a problem. After watching some of the WSOP RAZZ games it seems like a game that can drive people crazy. I think this set up is a great idea. It will be nice to see how people's play changes as the game changes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

That's an excellent idea. It's one thing to be a good NL Holdem player, but it's another thing entirely different to be multi-dimensional with your poker skills. There's nothing I enjoy more than the occasional Omaha, 7 Card Stud, or Razz tournament to get me away from the daily grind of NL Holdem. H.O.R.S.E. is a great game, and it's a game that truly separates you as one of the best overall poker players if you're successful at it. Having said that, I'd enjoy H.O.R.S.E. much more if the "Limit Holdem" aspect of the game was instead "NL Holdem". I've never been too fond of Limit Holdem (other than when playing cash games). |
