The MLP Intercontinental Team Cup #1 : FINAL STANDINGS
Tournament Details : Place : Poker Nordica Date : 28.07.2007 Event Name : My-Local-Poker Intercontinental Team Cup Time : 15.00 Poker Nordica time Prize Pool : $100 Medal available :  - for a Special Event

Making & Joining Your Teams : - This game is open to all MLP registered members with each forum teams comprising of 3 members from any country or any sex. - To be eligible to play, members should have joined the forum prior to at least one week before the event and have played at least one game in either the Freeroll or Buy-In League. - Captains should be regular members and approved by admin. Once a member has become a team captain, he/she should recruit a team by pm or posting on the Members looking for a team !!! thread. - Only one mod or admin allowed per team and no teams from the same IP address. - Captains should submit their team name and members to me by PM (up to 24 hours before the game) and i will create their team thread on the forum. - Should we have 2 odd members without teams one day prior to the game, they will be allowed to enter the game as a team with their 3rd place submitted as coming last. - The same process applies should one or two members of a team not turn up to play. - Captains can make official substitutions up until 4 hours before the game should one of their players be unable to play. This change must be submitted to me by PM prior to this time and is the only reason a substitution can be made on the day of the game. - The password will be PM'd to the Captains a couple of hours before the game. They will then give this password to their own team members. Scoring and Game Rules :
- Top 2 team members add thier scores together to create the team total. - In the event of a level score, the 3rd placed member comes into play. - Team tactics can be discussed before the game but under no circumstances should teams discuss their cards during a given hand (please no msn or outside chat). If a team is noted telling each other what to do at the table or in chat, their score will be forfeited. This dosn't mean that you cannot dump chips to help a team member or fold big hands but this should all be done by play and not by chat. This is one of the great skills of team poker and cheating shouldn't be necessary. Please check with me if you are not sure what is and what isn't allowed. - We'd like to see as many members logged into the chat room during the game for general camaraderie, baiting and fun. A Suggestion (this is up to the teams to decide and not a rule) : - To make this truely a team competition, i would suggest that the winning players (top 3) split the winnings by transfer between their team. Lastly : - This probably looks a little over complicated right now but i want to keep things fairly strict to begin with to avoid password stealers getting into these games. Simply put, if this happens, we will have to review whether we can do this again. - No doubt, this will be a little trial and error the first time so i will reserve the right to make any final decisions or changes should the need arise. If all goes well, we will do this again (maybe in 3 or 4 months) on a regular basis much in the way the Venus & Mars Cup is working. We really don't want to see any "why didn't you pick me" or "why am i left out" type threads so let's try and involve everyone from the forum that wants to play and keep this competition fun.

Another "wish list" topic fullfilled i hope. 
As usual read through the rules, regulations and selection process carefully before asking questions. We already have 3 or 4 team captains just to get things moving, i am hoping we will end up with at least 6 or 7 teams for the first of these games. Once you have found a team, i would prefer it if any further questions are directed through your team captains. All updates and additional information will be pm'd directly to the team captains and posted by them on your individual team threads. As usual, i know that not everyone will agree with all the structures and rules i have imposed on this game but we shall adapt and learn as we go along. Lets try to keep this fun and get as many involved as possible. If we have one or two that can't find teams, i will of course help out so that no-one misses out that is eligible to play.

well let's just see how this one goes first. theoretically i would hope that most teams would remain the same (otherwise it's a huge job to run each time) but i would expect there would be changes through natural evolution of course or if one team isn't happy. who knows, maybe even the format would change next time depending on how this one goes. as i said before, it's all a bit trial and error for now. |

info update :
i'll be PM'ing the password out to the team captains shortly before the buy-in league game starts then you can pass it on to the rest of your teams. let's have a few of you in the chat room for the game and get a bit of banter going especially as it's not possible to rail at nordica once you are out.

As the little captain of my great team I have to say it was a great game.
All of you played fair good poker and there can only be 1 winner - who expected it could be mura 
As it wouldn't be enough our blacksheep aka moni got that runner up thingi 
And finally (dramatical break) ... ... me 3rd 
That makes 100$ Freeroll splitted between the badly beated team - which badly pummeled all others 
But for all maths pro's 100 is hard to split - so we had a 3 hours team meeting  calculating our winnings 
And finally we have a result 30 bucks for each of us - mura has to share  and the 10 bucks - which is left are sponsored back to MLP.
Again big thank you to all who organized this great event and to all who played a good friendly game
