The old 1.2.3......

3 consecutive hands played last night.

First hand, 88 in the pocket, flop trips.

Lose half my stack to a wally missing the flop with 29 off, he moves all in, before hitting running 9's.

Then next hand AA in the pocket, my chance at getting my chips back from the same wally.

He'd raises all in from utg with AK off, Banzai , "revenge", is my thought , the table up to me fold, I call. A second wally after me re-raises with KJ off putting me almost all in . I call.

The flop pairs first wally's Ace , I make trip Aces , as the second wally flops a A high straight. :smt087

Third hand, pocket Jacks. I push all in with my short stack, get called by Q6 off and yes he hits a queen on the river.

Sometimes, it really sucks...

no wonder you get impatient sometimes.

simple message here i think .........

.............is play fewer freerolls !

even if you lose at least you'll enjoy the game better. beyond that, kill 'em all, that's what i say.

Only problem is that it is not only happening in freerolls anymore! People are taking big risks all over the place! Maybe it's all the free money floating around or something but they are getting crazy!

Aggression is definitely the strategy in on-line poker these days (except the MLP games). So many freerolls and large field buyins you have to get off to a fast start to deal with the big stacks folks accumulate so quickly. It gets tough playing as the table short stack all of the time. So I say suck it up and take your chances early in tourneys if you think you have the best hand (the odds will be with you in the long run). Build up your chip stack early and then settle into playing some real poker.

Gosh...

How did you all deduce that I was playing in a freeroll?

what gave it away.......

It doesn't really matter what level your playing at it seems. I lost 150 in one hand to an idiot that hit a 3 outer on the river after i reraise pot limit leaving me 20 dollars. You can't avoid these players they just hope to get lucky and often times it seems that the online sites pay them off far to frequently.
