I was playing in a tourney with a 5.50 buy in and it was late in the tourney with bb at 1,600. I'm bb and one guy raises to 3200 so i called with A 8 suited in hearts. Flop hits me big with all hearts and this guy puts in a big raise so i go all in with like 15000 chips and he call with pocket J's. There was a K of hearts on the board and none of his J's were hearts. So i'm licking my chops and counting my chips right! Well the turn is a J and the river pairs the board to give him a full house. If I had hair I would have pulled it all out! How can that be? I had been trying to stay away from poker because of things like that but never had i seen something so bad!

it was a crazy call of his on your flop re-raise, flush draw against, 1 over card against, I call those a bluff call, cuz the only thing he can beat is a bluff, then to see runner runner a jack then the board pair, well, it can happen, we've all had the nuts on the flop that got out nutted as it were, nothing you can do but vent, & this is a good place to let it all out...BRO, we share your pain...

It bites elban... I like to think the bad beats are part of the fun of poker,

but some calls are unbelievable.

2 good ones to make you feel better, online this week, went all in, only had 1.8 k in chips, with AA, got called by a player with 1.7K in chips, playing jack 3 suited...my set of aces hit on the river, of course i was ahead till then, but that ace gave him his flush...

playing live once, raised to 1600 with AQ suited UTG, re-raised to 3.2K by a player I felt had a weaker ace, so I pushed another 8K into the pile, he calls with ace 9 suited, I flop a queen, turn is a 9, river is a 9...

I must admit I'm a big fan of JJ, but to me it's a hand that you don't want to see a flop on. I approach it as push preflop and/or call 3x or less preflop (depending on players, chips and position, maybe reraise) bet and fold to any action with overs or draws on the flop. JJ is so dangerous, can you tell it's one of my favorite hands.
