not too much to report on this :
the rumour has gone around all the forums and affiliates but as yet, no official news is available. supposedly DNG are well aware of what is being said and plan to make a statement very soon.
as such, it's business as usual but it's probably sensible to approach any of the sites with caution right now and hold back from making deposits.

ok, i've had it confirmed that 2 major forums that hold regular games at Jungle Poker have managed to get in contact with the network owner of DGS who has strongly denied that the network will be closing.
in fact they are thinking about sueing the originator of this rumour which is certainly not going help the network survive.
as is it, cash outs are now going to be a nightmare whilst they sort out the problems and again, i would advise caution for depositors.

The latest I've seen about this is a report that at least one site, G2G, is switching to the Merge network (Carbon, Nordica et al). While this could be just say-so, if it is true, it certainly wouldn't look like a good sign for DGN.
No matter what happens, I'm certainly not impressed with DGN's failure to communicate with players. For instance, if it's true they're slow due to the holidays, why not say so - although this doesn't seem particularly plausible since people started reporting problems before just the past couple of weeks.

Update :
Dynamic Gaming Systems has now officially announced it's pending closure and many of their skins are now looking for new homes. Where this will leave customers is in serious doubt but if i hear anymore confirmed news i will let you know. Here's the e-mail giving the information :
Dear Licensee,
We regret to inform you that Dynamic Gaming Systems Corporation S.A. has become insolvent. It is unable to meet its ongoing obligations.
This has resulted due to a number of reasons including: 1) the lack of players that have been signed up on the network and 2) The loss of a number of payment solution providers including most recently Epassporte.
The network will remain open until Friday January 25th at noon eastern time. The cashier section has been turned off and all tournaments have been cancelled. If any licensee would like to acquire the network at no cost please respond to this email and we will contact you.
We anticipate a receiver will be appointed to liquidate the assets.

Update :
This is doing the rounds at most forums and appears to be the official word on things so far.
BigJuicyOdds (SBR rating D+) poker network (DGS) folds. BJO states that the provider has closed with licensee and player funds. BJO also tells SBR it will be transferring all poker balances to a new network provider, Dobrosoft. The migration of accounts is expected to take three days. Players can also request a payout or a balance credit in the BigJuicyOdds sportsbook, which is a separately operated. Players with other poker brands may be less fortunate.
JunglePoker.com is owned by the Dynamic Gaming network and is not expected to settle accounts.
G2Gpoker, a poker-only gaming site, has previously stiffed players as part of the Futurebet Gaming network.

i had just over a 100 bucs on jungle just signed in now to look and it says now i have 16 cents so the funds have left but they dont seem to be on my neteller account where they should be
wonder how many ppl get stiffed on pokers sites what with nordica changing there promos half way throu and dynamic shutting up shop just show we should only invest in the major sites where funds are safe
this is about the 5th time i have lost money on these mickey mouse sites only small amounts but very frustrating
motto of the story stick to the major sites to deposit money i am not saying dont play the smaller sites just stick to free rolls

you can't lump nordica in with that. it's one thing to change a promo or bonus (and this was 4 days after i announced it and due to a human error too) and quite another to withhold cashouts which has never happened on the Merge network as far as i know.
the DGS situation is a completely different thing.

Update :
The inside word is that DGS are currently looking for a buyer (surprise ). It seems to be like a football club that has gone into administration and needs some kind of consortium to come in and bail out the debts before they can even think about getting up and running.
The only thing in their favour would seem to be the cool software and an established internet presence although whether this would be a reason to take on the sizeable debts, remains to be seen.

Update :
G2GPoker has now officially moved and is up and running on the Merge Network (Carbon Poker, Poker.com, Poker Nordica). They have started transfering accounts and honouring cash-outs made before DGS went bust. They advise that this will take time though.
Big Juicy Odds has moved to the Gold Chip Network although i don't have any info as yet on whether they will be honouring old accounts.
As for DGS, there are supposedly a few potential buyers of the network and/or software although insiders are claiming that player pending cash-outs have already been wiped and it is highly unlikely, even if a take over does occur, that punters will see their money again. It seems clear now that most of the site owners have also lost money due to DGS with holding cash over a long period of time and the DGS debts are far more serious and outstanding than just the player accounts. We can only hope this is a rumour but it certainly makes sense that any new buyer will not be interested on taking on an entire networks debt.

Update :
Thanks to adam00 for seeing this first.
San Jose, Costa Rica - Dynamic Gaming Systems (DGS) announced today that an agreement for the transfer of their network has been reached with Cintaly Holding Corporation (CHC).
CHC, based out of the British Virgin Islands, anticipates having the DGS network in full operation within 72 hours of the transaction being completed. Executives of CHC stated they were excited by the opportunity to take over one of the finest poker software networks online today. Although the details of the transaction were not made public, it is our understanding CHC intends to honor all verified existing Player Balances and Licensee Agreements.
CHC acknowledged the news reports that indicated that some of DGS’s Licensees may have already transitioned their player onto other networks. Although disappointed that they had left, this deal is a win-win for all current and future licensees, and players. CHC strongly emphasized that their prime objective was to get all remaining Players, Licensees back operational as fast as possible.
For further information please contact protect@protectpal.com
You can view the press release at the link below.

I'm going to quote something i read on another forum whilst researching this situation, please bear in mind that i cannot verify the truth of this but it does sound encouraging :
Dated : 23.01.08
| Quote: | I was at Jungle last night and there was a rep for the new owner in chat. He stated that the withdrawals which were in progress would be reversed and credited back to the players' accounts.
The new owners will have a limited number of deposit and withdrawal options initially but will have more over time. |

And here is a more cautionary piece which also mentions the sentiments of the post above :
ONLINE POKER NETWORK ACQUIRED
But who is Cintaly Holding Corporation?
Controversy has swirled around the troubled Dynamic Gaming Systems online poker network recently as rumours of its imminent demise hardened into firm information from network members that indicated a halt to payouts and non-existent communications (see previous Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa reports)
Operators on the network started to look for new homes with the reportedly fast-growing Merge Poker and Dobrosoft's Gold Chip networks, with operators complaining that they had been left in the invidious position of having to pay DGS-owed money to players out of their own pockets.
This week a press release signed off by "protect@protectpal.com" from DGS in Costa Rica announced that an agreement for the 'transfer of its network' has been reached with Cintaly Holding Corporation (CHC). Protectpal is a largely Eastern European secure email hosting outfit.
CHC, based out of the British Virgin Islands, but with the UK telephone number +44 800-011-2643, apparently anticipates having the DGS network back in full operation within 72 hours of the transaction being completed - a date not included in the announcement.
The blurb says that unidentified 'executives of CHC' are "excited by the opportunity to take over one of the finest poker software networks online today," apparently overlooking the serious allegations levelled against the network by operators, affiliates and players in recent times.
Breeding further suspicion is the lack of details on the acquisition and a paucity of information on CHC, whose website displays little hard information beyond a Tortola office address and the general advisory that the company was formed in 1999, incorporated in 2005 and is a "diversified media company involved in online business publishing and entertainment" with a group of (unidentified) companies that operate as independent profit and loss centres."
Those who are owed money by DGS may take some comfort from a sentence in the release, apparently penned by someone in authority at DGS, which claims: "....it is our understanding CHC intends to honour all verified existing Player Balances and Licensee Agreements." Apparently CHC's priority is to ".....get all remaining Players and Licensees back operational as fast as possible."
The new owners appear to be rather coy on who is running the company, what online poker network experience is available within it and how it intends going forward. Unnamed representatives have been posting reassurances on various online poker message boards that their intentions are honourable, but the lack of hard information strains credibility.
One representative at the Jungle Poker site wrote that the withdrawals which were in progress would be reversed and credited back to the players' accounts, and that the new owners will have a limited number of deposit and withdrawal options initially but will expand this over time.
Meanwhile G2G Poker has joined the exodus from DGS, joining the Merge network along with LuckyHog Poker. Other Merge poker sites include Carbon poker, Poker.com, Iron Duke Poker and Pokernordica.
CHC has not yet responded to a media enquiry addressed to their email at corpaffairs@cintaly.com

My concern there is not to play and unlock the money, but whether as in the old jungle freeroll winnings system, if you do not unlock it playing cash game at a certain level per raked hand in a given time, they then remove it from your account.

i think it just means that what you now have in your account comes under their new rules and not the old jungle rules.
i would strongly suggest to wait a couple of weeks as all of these questions are going to come up and be answered on various forums by players trying to cash out or play now.
you could also check with their live support but i think they will be busy sorting stuff out right now.

maximum withdrawal 10%.
I have approx $250 in Jungle so maximum i can withdraw is $25, It mentions something about $10 charge for cheques so that would leve me with about $15, once I take it to my bank and gets converted to UK pounds with a bank charge probably about £6.
At the moment $250 is about £128 but I would have to make several withdrawal each time incurring these massive charges.
But doesnt make any difference anyway as maximum is 10% and minimum withdrawal is $50, so does that mean you have to have at least $500 to make a withdrawal

Whenever I look to play there, the tourneys are very limited, 3 or 4 players taking part and less than 200 online, plus it shows one tourney that finished 17 days ago still has the clock running, (which make me wonder if there is anyone minding the shop).
