what would u have done.

Its hard to take when u think you made the correct decision and get bad beat.
Especially when a few hand prior to this one u hold KJ to a flop of 5 8 9 u raise the flop and get called u raise the turn and get called so u check the river and find ur opponent has paired with the 5 on the board what the f*@# is he calling with when there are 4 over cards on the table

anyway this hand.
The blinds are 25 / 50
i was on 800 chips i called the BB with 99 in the hole first to act.
there was 4 other callers + the blinds were in, the flop came
Ks 6h Qs we all check around to the position and he went all-in
i put him on playing hard from position and most probably chasing, there had been a few hands like this big bets had taken pots down he had been active and used chips before so with my 99 i called.
i was right he had 10 J chasing an open end.
I know i risk all but he was not playing tight for hands and i dam well got him pegged.

WHAT WOULD U HAVE DONE ? (truthfully)

The turn came 9 river K
He hit , straight chasing.
That's the trouble with poker.com there are so many times i see this happen but i still play there (why cos i luv it when there luck runs cold.)
The site is full of chasers, any A will do, any 2 cards are all-in players.

I have to say your pretty brave, all-in? wow, I have to honestly say I would have folded, different if the 9 is on the flop, and for him to call all-in with str8 draw glad he was caught! This weekend I had Top two pairs and raised 500 chips, half my stack, and this other guy just kept on calling and got a flush on the river and took me out, some ppl must feel that they are very lucky, and I guess thats what its all about

Brave is one way to view, another is to question your thought process.

In your first example you made a continuation bet that was called, then a further called bet and complain of the opponent not respecting the over cards when you were beaten by an, albeit low, made hand.

Second example, he was all-in on a draw; however there were five starting hands better than yours, a king and Queen showing that any of the others in the hand could have paired, plus a straight and flush draw.

Sure you had him pegged... but to call yourself all-in with a medium pair to that flop was asking to be beaten.

Aggressive table, UTG 9 9, I've folded pre-flop before.

Wouldn't have called unless I was very short and happy to bow out.

I do appreciate your points KN and i 2 have folded 99,QQ,KQ under different circumstances , and i was low stack overall.

Funny thing is i had pp 99 in another tourney and played the same way but this time he held AK the A was a spade and then 2 spades on the flop fold by spade, spade and believe it or not the turn was the frigging 9 spade

Sorry KW

I think you are missing the point of tournament poker. Your first goal must be to survive, once you call all in you are risking your stack on a marginal situation, that's simply poor tournament poker unless you have him massively outchiped. Not to mention that one of the four players between you and him could have been slow-playing any big hand on the flop.

That's really the end of the story, but lets take it one step further and work out your position in this hand.

You are correct that on the flop you have the best hand & I have to say that it is a great read.
But reading your opponents is not everything, you have to then use that information to make a logical judgement.

If you put him on a straight draw then you must give him at least TJ, both of these are over cards to your 9's so that's 6 outs. (you probably forgot to factor these in )
Add to that the straight cards; 2 nines & 4 aces gives him a total of 12 outs on the flop. you see whats coming don't you

So he was about 60% chance to improve over your pocket 9's
Making him favorite to win, in fact if he doesn't hit, then you would have been giving him a slight bad beat

Without going into the intricacies of the hands, use the examples to reflect on your thinking.

In the first example you say the player should have paid heed to the over pairs (you didn't actually have); while in the second you ignored the possibility of anyone slow-playing a big pocket pairs or pairing with the board, dismissed the flush and correctly had him on a straight draw.

Why call.
