When two houses collideT is playing Omaha as I type and was caught early when flopping trip 2's on a J22 board, and turning a house 2's over 3's.
Her opponent was playing J2XX and took a bite out of her.
Does anyone know the odds of a lower house being beaten in this sort of circumstance.
Her comment at the time was, "damn and I re-raised him too."
I happens enough to make me wonder what are the odds of there being more than one house on a paired board.
Rough guess by me with no idea how to calculate it is 1 in 10/1 in 20.

I'd say the odds are pretty high, cuz it happens 2 me every time, usually on the river

Well that is in my mind Rob. I've seen it happen to you a few times in our P4E games.
Does it happen so rarely that in most cases you should re-raise with the lower house, or so often that you should flat call.

Omaha has often been called a game of "the nuts"
It is so easy for someone to get the top full house you should assume they have it if they bet.

it happens often enough I usually won't re-raise unless calling puts me almost there anyways, or think my opponent was drawing to a flush or straight instead, it's near impossible to fold it for sure...
