Poker Shots - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

If you have a screen shot of any kind of crazy hand, then here's the place to put it. I'm not looking for interesting hands, i'm not looking for particularly well played hands, what i'm looking for is hands that make you go WHAT !!!

eg. 3 or 4 trips in the same hand, 4 of a kind getting beat by something better, a re-raise bluff right into the nuts (not including donk freerolls), a 10 way all in at the same table or just a plain "what the hell were they thinking" .........you get the picture.

capturing an image - a simple tool :
For any of you not sure how to take a screenshot, a great tool i use is called "Quickshot". It will take a .jpg image at the push of 2 buttons in a really nice postable quality. You can find "Quickshot" at www.imageshack.us
- it's free !

uploading a image - a simple guide :
1, open up a reply post in members pics.
2, at the bottom left of the imput field, you'll see underlined "Attach File". click on this and a new window will open.
3, in the new window, select browse and find the image on your computer that you wish to upload.
4, if you're image isn't massive select "do not resize" from the drop down box. otherwise leave the field as is.
5, if you think the image is to big to post, select "Post as a thumbnail".
6, the select "Upload File"

If you don't want to download the software via Harry's screen shot link, you can make a screen shot the old fashion way.

press the prnt scrn button (top line just left of centre on my keyboard)
then>Start>all programs>accessories>paint, then ctrl+V to paste the image and save as a JPEG just like this one, that I made earlier.

I had the good; pocket nines

the bad; folded them when the flop betting scared me, (QJQ)

and such ugly language realising I would have made the straight on the river.

There are much better shots than that begging to be taken. Keep your fingers poised over the button.

I've caught 5 players going all in. I'm not sure who started it, but they all committed pre-flop

Can you tell that it is the first hand of a freeroll.

Who can equal or better that.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, even donks get lucky.

Who's that good looking fella holding the jack eh?

I'd checked the flop, bet minimum on the turn, bet minimum on the river and was raised, I reraised and was called.

Queen phobe mucked, but she was a solid player so must have made the house; kings or jacks over.

you're playing cute with your trips - and the river comes - you make your full house - you're wondering how you can get the money in the middle - and this happens .............ever feel like dead meat !

On hands like Harry's above, I often get so fixated with what I am holding, it takes a moment after the chips go to the wrong player for me to realise.

I then have to scroll through the dealer chat and see where I went wrong.

This thread has helped me to think of using the print screen button to review my play.

Harry is what you used to show that hand a program or does a poker site do that for you?

all the ipoker sites (titan, cdpoker, poker777, noble, etc.) show their hand histories this way (i missed catching the table on that one).

i then took a shot of this hand history with my program direct into a postable format.

i did edit a little with photoshop afterwards but it's not something you have to do. just me being fiddly !!!

looks like the run of the mill, first few hands of a freeroll, all-in fest to me.

.....not so unusual !

...............except the fact that it wasn't a freeroll. nice one.

too bad this was an all in or fold sng

would have been fun to see the action in this hand with regular play, i guess we would have been all in anyways in the end..

flop:
i have A-high straight, novice 2 pair, carz str draw

turn:
i am still ahead with my A-high straght, novice still 2 pair, carz now K-high straight

river:
i get my royal, novice her FH, and carz doesnt improve..

all in all a great hand

Playing $5 sng's is scaring me if the 'all in first hand' donks have moved up a couple of levels.

I had an excuse for my donk calling with QQ, ... "it didn't cost me."

Does that sort of thing happen often in $5 sng's?

Oh and well done muratore for keeping cool enough to get a screen shot of the royal. I would have been doing somersaults if that was me.

this will really scare you :
$10 SNG
blinds at 50 / 25
9 left and i have about 1400 in chips.

im the bb i get dealt pocket kings.

first player to act (he's been pretty lose and has about 900) raises to 100.

2 callers around to me, so i knock it up to 350.
player one calls, the 2 others fold.

flop comes 7, 8, 9 rainbow.

i bet 400 into the pot and he comes over the top in a second all in.
as i'm getting good pot odds i call and he reveals 4 6 of diamond with no flush draw.

hits a 5 on the river and doubles up.

.......you have to wonder sometimes !

Jeez Louise, what trouble we can get into with suited connectors flopping trips, chasing straight flushes and running into quads.

Glad I didn't try a bluff at that pot.

here's an amusing little number from a cash table i was playing at tony g's (i'm Alternat there). The funniest thing about it
was after the first all-in, the next 2 players took an age before calling post flop :

I'm happy to announce I made it to the final table! Got 8th though, me and other guy both had pocket spades and hit the flush, his was a wee bit higher though.

I can top that Nate.
With another forum pacific poker messed up with a new depositors offer and forgot ( "forgot" more like) to tell the forum that it was only for brand new accounts. Part of the deal was a $500 financed by pacific. Anyhow only three were able to take up the offer and play in the free roll. 1st $350, 2nd $150, 3rd a hour of their life wasted. The pressure not to end up on the bubble in that one must have been emense.

I think it must go by who was last to enter the pot? or last to go all in?
And if you look closely msot appear to have won an acolade of some sort so they should be half decent player (coming from one who has never won one)

all of them but one was playing the $100 tourney at the same time they played this sng, it all started with them wondering what decides who gets 2nd place if all go all in first hand... and i guess this sng didnt really cleared anything

they acctually played another one after that one but they didnt get a good answer to the question in that one either...
