The message will also be sent if if you don't have the toolbar active. I don't plan to use this very often but it may well turn out handy should we have any special promotions on the main pages or updates to important threads on the forum. Naturally, you can opt in or out of receiving these messages by going into your "toolbar options". This shows current scores from most sports around the world.
