careful there sir, this almost looks like a recruitment drive ....lol. 
if you could send me a PM about how they normally set up these games (buy-in, prize pool, format, etc) then we can have a good look into it and see what's possible. if you have an old thread i can look at with details, even better. |
I dont see anything wrong with other forums challenging us to games and if its a recruitment drive surely it works both ways
I think this is a good idea
As long as any tourney is set up so both forums have the same amount of players playing and they are all registered to both forums
From my point of view i am quite a new member here and have no intention of using forum challenge matches as a way of finding forums which might offer me "more" for my time and input and from what i see and know of regulars here i think i am in the majority.
So why not go for it if it can be arranged on a mutually accepted format |

How about if you post in the lounge, details ($ time etc) of a game you intend to play, one day/two days/a week ahead of an open tourney on say Carbon/P.com/Nordica (where we all have money).
Make sure the time is cool for both sides of the pond and see if you get a bunch of us playing alongside of you.

I and other members put this idea forwould before now and Harry did look in to it , but i do feel it is a very good idea and we should pursue it with all speed.

really, i think this is a great idea and i'm all for it, i just don't have time to set-up or persue this myself which is why i had hoped Zarger would come back to us on this.
i'm all for any member or mod (guys ??? ) looking into this idea and proposing something in the future. as long as we don't clash with our usual games, there really shouldn't be an issue.

lets have a partners tournamnet.. but were you allowed to use collusion with u and your parneter. I know its its not legal in a regualr poker game.. but a private poker game were that can be a rule.. something like that just too see what people and how they would play... from playing a normal game...

not really... I just I need a thraed were i can put my wish.. sometimes they do come true...
and another of my 1,000 wishes... is have a sports betting league but using like play money.. give everyone so many chips and the winner of the league we can put in a free entry to a certain MLP game or to a public tourney in poker

another wish is have like an apf elimation league each week the person who came in last wil get elinmated from the elimnated league or if there is a no show for a person for one game they would get elimted.. you should do this each week until thre is one person standing

not a bad outline, that one adam. the only problem i could see is that it would be hard for me to drum up a series of decent prize pools unless we find the money from the forum itself. obviously the rooms don't really want to put on a continuous event which decreases the entrants per game as this doesn't make financial sense to them.
having said that, it would be cool to do something in this style at some stage, perhaps when/if we are getting better numbers in each game.

well.. another way you can do it I guess is use play money and everyone sends like a certain amount of money to you whether its 2 5 or 10 dollares like a pre thing and the winner get to take all or or how every you like give the money out

Here is another one of my millions of ideas.. you know lot of card rooms has jackpot drwaing were they draw a name out of hat and the winner get a priize or money.. like after the first break.. I think we should do that... like get a free entry to a apf tourney or something like that. like at the break who ever is in the chat room or whoever still in the game... but the would be cool do something like that..

| i think you have to get something like a lottery and a point system for somekind of prizes, i think it works good to get more members and the members are more satissfied, maybe i'm a newcomer and i don't know everything you offer or have offered, but that's only my opinion |
