Welcome to the MLP Freeroll League : Season 4
1st place will receive the MLP Freeroll League Trophy 
The top 10 finishers get a guaranteed place in the MLP Top 20 All Leagues Bonanza #4 (info below).
If you are not yet a Freeroll League member and wish to take part in the Freeroll League, you can find all the information you need to join here. Table will be updated to include OFC results.
This will be a series of 12 events held over a 6 month period. The first scoring game of each month will be a standard League Freeroll and the 2nd scoring game of each month will be a Top 20 Posters game. There will also be bonus points to be scored from the Online Forum Challenge (OFC) events - next up : OFC at Vegas Poker 247 (click here for details).
League table points will be awarded relative to your finishing positions.

Extra Rules and Information :
- The league table is updated after each game by our super swede muratore. If you have any queries about the scoring he'll be happy to answer any pm's.
- new : The league will run from the start of July until the end of December with the top 10 finishing positions receiving guaranteed places to the MLP Top 20 All Leagues Bonanza #4 (click the link for full details of this event and details of the complete qualifying standard).
- These games are for current Freeroll League members. If a player not eligible for points finishes in the top 10 of a given game, all players behind his/her finishing position will move up one position. Sit-outs will also not receive points and the same process applies.
- new : In the event of a tie, the player with the most top 5 finishes over the 12 games will be placed higher, if they are still tied it will go to most final tables and finally most wins. Should we still have a tie for the trophy, this will be decided by a 3 game heads up match to be organised by the players involved.
- Should one of our moderators not be in the 20 qualifiers for the MLP Top 20 All Leagues Bonanza #4 at the end of the season, he/she will be given a wild card entry. This will not affect the 20 already qualified, so no one will lose their place.
- Forthcoming game details may be subject to change.

# 1 = Points achieved in Game 1 (# 2 = Game 2, etc)
LF = Standard League Freeroll
TP = Top Posters Freeroll
OFC = Points scored from Online Forum Challenge Events

What's New :
Hi All
I'm still confirming dates for next seasons Freeroll League but here's a heads up on what's new. I have tried to incorperate one or two of the ideas that have arisen during last season without making any major structural changes to the league.
- after last seasons dead heat finish in the Buy-In League, i've expanded the possibilities in the event of a tie.
- the next Freeroll Bonanza will be in December, so the Freeroll League will now run over 12 games. This should provide us with a Top 10 based more on consistantly good play and make for a better league over all.
As always, please read carefully through all the information and rules before posting any questions and apart from that ..........let's have some fun !

Looking forward to the start of the new league. This is definitely the best league I've played in and feel I've gotten to be a better player because of it. See everyone soon.

Looking at the previous winners of this competition I see that they are all moderators (Harry, Brian and KN), lets see if a non mod can win this time.
Is it a good idea to have the league lasting for 6 months?
If someone joins the forum in September or October will have little chance of winning this league as they will have missed half the games and surely we want to attract new members? |

well i look at it this way. the trophy is the icing on the cake to what is already some great tournaments. a 12 game structure should give us a good overall winner and perhaps lend even more prestige to the trophy itself.
i still think members will want to join the league as each game is a free shot at money and i think 2 freerolls a month is about right.
this should also mean a bigger bonanza pool for the main event at the end of the year and frankly i want all the regular standing members to have the best possible shot at making it. also, if you think about last seasons Buy-In League where we had 2 or 3 players making late charges from nowhere proving that even if you are joining late you would still be in with a shot with a couple of back to back results.
there's still plenty on for the newbies with the added incentive of seeing what being an active longer term member will bring, plus the top 10 bonanza quaification will probably still be achievable even if you only played the last 3 or 4 games.
if the system doesn't work out then we may well revert to a 3 or 4 month league next year depending on funds. it's always a little trial and error with these things but trust me when i say that it's all designed with the best interests of both the forum and the members !

Notification:
The OFC results from each game has now been lifted out of the Freeroll League Table and has been replaced by One column. The OFC column now reflects the total of OFC-points scored.
Each OFC result can now be viewed in a table of its own below the Freeroll League Table. Also a small table has been added to better show what placings in the OFC events award what points.
If you wish to go to the result thread for each OFC-event, just click on the number of that event in the OFC Scoring Table.
This OFC Scoring Table should not be seen as a league of its own, it is simply there to make the appearance of the Freeroll League Table more appealing!

In case anyone didn't see the thread, we all agreed to award vegasjj 4 points for Game 11 of the Freeroll League. Through an unfortunate mix up, she missed the game because of 2 identical games posted in Nordica's lobby.
I want to thank everyone at the tables for agreeing instantly to this solution.

Note : unfortunately these things can happen to the best of us from time to time but please try and make sure you check the main tournament post which will normally say exactly where the game will be posted in the poker client !

next weeks Top Posters Freeroll is the last of the League Freerolls this season.
1st place awards 12 points in a Top Posters Freeroll, our current League Leader fooraces now has 14 points down to harry_lime in 2nd place.
So does that mean fooraces has the trophy already?
you might think so... But dont forget we have an OFC with awarding league points that is being played the weekend after the Top Posters Freeroll  up to 15 League Points can be won in that OFC Freeroll.
also remember that we have a lot of players just a few points away from the top 10 positions in the league that awards a place in the MLP Top 20 All Leagues Bonanza
so there is still lots to play for!  I hope we can have more members sign up for the OFC so MLP can have a big team that does well and who knows what can happen in the league from now on...
